located on the top of the mountain Ms Fabiola took really good care of our family and went extra mile from guiding us for further onward trip, preparing dinner even after the Resturant close time , arranging tickets and ensuring we were comfortable in all the ways . She is an exceptional host 👍

The location is beautiful, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you to and back from the city center. I have to say Fabiola and her husband Patrick (owners) made me feel right at home, they’re very hospitable, friendly, caring and Patrick makes one hell of a good pasta. Would definitely come back again!

Unfortunately swimming pool was to cold to use it with children.

The view, personell and hotel itself is very nice even out of season. If You like to have silence and want to have a walk there is a lot of small routs through forest with great view, but not for family with baby cart. Dinner was tasty and atmosphere is like at home. Very kind people there.

Beautiful locality, wonderful lake view from all rooms. Really nice people, good kitchen. The swimming pool and whirlpool is available nonstop. Useful recommendations for next travel.

On the second day I was a bit too late for supper because I wasn't aware of the opening times for the kitchen. Maybe I just didn't see it. They made me a toast nonetheless, so thank you anyway. :)

I arrived with my motorbike and was able to park it in the garage. Even though I arrived a bit late, I could still order a warm meal. The view from the balcony is phenomenal and you get a free bus pass.

This is one of our favorite places! We come every year to spend a few days at this hotel. We really feel at home at Al Ponte. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the owners and their staff are wonderful, friendly and down to earth people. We will be back.

nothing to dislike

I liked absolutely everything: owners and personnel are top-level professionals, very attentive, very friendly, always ready to help and to share local information and incites. The room was spacy, very clean, room service 10/10. Views from the room, balcony, restaurant, terrace are stunning at any time of the day or night. The restaurant's chef can cook you anything and it will be delightful. 100% recommendation.

Few nice-to-have suggestions to make it reach a total perfection (nothing critical): - Larger pillows - Harder bed mattress - Some eggs for breakfast (boiled, scrambled, omelet)

Family-run hotel on the very hilltop above Lugano. Amazing view from the balcony! Super friendly people, nice atmosphere, a lot of tips from the hotel owners. We also got a Ticino transportation cards which allowed free mobility on city transport and trains, discounts on funiculars. Restaurant is known to be good, but unfortunately we did not have a chance to eat there (reservations for dinner are highly recommended in peak seasons). Generally, really really positive and lovely experience, where people make an atmosphere and comfortable stay!
