The apartment is very old and according to my opinion it needs renovation. Additionally it was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator.

I'd suggest a small bed table for the second bed with a small lamp , easy to reach from the bed. Head shower could be improved but actually those are more suggestions than critics

right in the city centre, public transport all around. the apartment has plenty of space, even for four adults. kitchen is very well supplied, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer all present. beds are really comfy and lot of windows guarantee the airflow

Only thing was the noise from nearby construction but that isn’t the fault of the property so can’t be helped.

It snowed the day we arrived. And although it seemed, there was some heat coming out of the radiators. The room was fairly drafty and cold. But then again we are from Florida so I would take that with a grain of salt.

Nothing it is perfect!

This place is the best! The location - right where you want to be in old town, walking distance to everything with a tram a half a block away to get you anywhere else. The owner has an Italian restaurant on the second floor that is so delicious. And you get a discount for staying there. Friendly people, good location, balconies, I could ask for nothing more

This was a large apartment in an older building in a perfect location in the old section of town. It was very comfortable warm great hot water and shower washer and dryer were very helpful. The owner had a restaurant on the first floor where he served a very good deal at a reasonable price (if anything these days is reasonable) and and he was very nice and very helpful. It was a 3 floor walk-up which is something older people might want to know. If I had to do it all over again I certainly would.

The location and size of the property was absolutely perfect for a couple or small family on holiday. The two outdoor spaces was perfect for airflow and taking in the city views.

Although equipped with a very new cooker, a little more kitchen equipment would have been handy if looking to cater in the apartment. Very minor niggle though, we did manage.

Excellent apartment just off the Marktplatz. Lovely original feature windows. Ivan the host very friendly and runs an excellent Italian fine dining restaurant on the 1st floor of the same building. Highly recommend visiting, the be sure to book as it is very popular.

I found the bed to be a bit on the hard side for me, but it is a minor complaint, the bedroom was cozy. I would not hesitate to return for another short visit.

Excellent location in Altstadt, the friendly owner also runs a very good Italian restaurant in the same building. I would really recommend making a reservation for dinner.

The entire apartment needs a thorough cleaning and updating of basic stuff. The key pick up is a pain when you are arriving at night and in not so good weather specially when there’s no where to park. It’s a good three blocks maybe away from the property. You have to walk bc it’s impossible to drive to the key pick up if you are not familiar with the area. It will be a pain if you are lugging suitcases.

As mentioned in a lot of the reviews, the towels (one each) were atrocious. Clean (but smelly - left in a washing machine too long), but old and tiny. What are they thinking, that these would be a pass for the traveller. For the amount that we are paying per night, how hard would it be to buy new or even have reasonable towels to present to the traveller, especially when most reviews mention this. You would think that the owner would take note, and deal with this side of his business. The WIFI is hit and miss. Most times MISS, It is a good thing that we paid a premium to stream our own data fromm our homje town. When running a business while travelling, or for any reason, it is always an advantage to have a connection that always drops out. Just a small container of some milk would have been good to start us off.

The location was good for the two nights in Basel.
