How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We have stayed here a few times and used to like this hotel but the cost cutting across all areas of the hotel that is really showing. Spa has too many guests from outside the hotel who can be loud and messy. Restaurant is closed. Bar is not staffed.
Hi, sorry you think we cut costs. We just invest 1.2 million in the building for your comfort. When you renovate a building it is always complicated an we cannot be sure of when it is finished and the services are sometimes difficult to organise. The restaurant is closed until december 15th because of that. We hope to welcome you again anyway.

Verified reviewI stayed in a room that was in desperate need of a complete renovation. The walls were dirty and cracked, the doors and frames were chipped and peeling, and the floor was scratched and uneven. The bathroom looked nothing like the photos shown in the hotel presentation — in reality, it was outdated and seemed to be at least 20 years old. One of the towels I received was literally black with dirt. The water pressure in the bathroom was so low that it was impossible to take a proper shower. On top of that, the sound insulation was practically nonexistent — I could hear every step and noise coming from the neighboring rooms and ceiling. Given the price I paid, I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The SPA and Wellness center is awful. Coming to the hotel after ski was the biggest disappointment to find out that the pool is cold and my daughter (5 yo) couldn’t use any of the amenities. The jacuzzi is outside and it’s small. It was full of outside people, not hotel guests, mostly man who were washing themselves on the showers naked and there was a strong smell of cannabis in the whole SPA area. Definitely not a kids friendly zone!!! Also, I have paid for 2 adultes and a child room rate, and in my reservation was written that child stays for free. At check out I was forced to pay additional CHF 80 for the child's bed, which I had never requested, because my daughter sleeps with us. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THIS HOTEL!!!!

Verified reviewFacilities were great, amazing infrastructure. Jacuzzi could be a biiit warmer but overall sauna, pool and jacuzzi were amazing! Room has a lot of space which I really appreciated. Breakfast was also impeccable, I miss it already!
The mattress had a memory foam pillow top that I really really dislike, as it’s super bad for my back (I have a hernia and memory foam mattresses make it worse) but I understand it’s something a lot of guests appreciate. So it’s not a negative review, just a comment haha
