Room was on the second floor and looked directly into next building so we had to keep the blinds lowered half way which made the room dark.

Hotel is in the old city and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. Room was clean and beds are comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

We like to sleep with an open window but it was impossible as the hotel is next to a big junction, where trams and buses run all night long on the weekend. The choice is between a quiet but stuffy room with closed windows, or a noisy room with fresh air.

Unsufficient bathroom supplies, generally the bathroom needs to be modernized a bit.

Nice hotel, very well positioned and with availability to keep bags before or after the stay. Comfortable beds, fresh fruit, water, kettle and coffee machine in the room.

The hotel is in Bern's Old Town and has a lot of charm. I first stayed there over 20 years ago, and I keep going back. It is very well situated for restaurants, bars and all of the city's sights.

We had a very good experience here. The shower temperature was quite variable and might want to be checked, but this is only a slight negative.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Otherwise, it was fine for a short stay.

The location was superb, right in the old town, close to restaurants and outdoor cafes. A short bus ride from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic and clean. Welcome goodies--bottled water, fruit--were a nice treat. The available breakfast was very expensive so we did not try it.

Bathroom was tired, mouldy sealant around bath and sink. Shower screen on edge of bath was too small so shower flooded bathroom floor. Holes in bathroom door where bath hooks had fallen off. There were no USB charging points in the room. Not Boutique Hotel quality. Very expensive for 1 night stay, I expected more. Probably could find better hotel in same location for the same cost. Breakfast was not included, we paid extra CHF 21 each and got basic continental style breakfast. No air conditioning in room, and the fan provided just blew the hot air around, didnt cool the room, it was very hot.

Location in old town was great. Bedroom was clean. Comfy bed. Free safe in room. Staff were quite amenable and helpful.

Unfortunately there was some mold in the shower. My girlfriend didn’t want to shower because of it. They are talking about renovations but that didn’t change the fact that the shower was dirty.

The check in was great! We arrived almost 3hours before the check in time and our room was already available! The hostess was very nice and welcomed us with a smile. The room is quite big and the beds are very comfy. The location is great.

No AC in the room (which is perhaps owed to the historical location and building restrictions, not the hotel itself), and an electric fan was placed in the room.

Very central location, the Bear Park and the Rose Garden are in short walking distance, free public transport throughout our stay with the Bern ticket. Very good breakfast with Swiss cheese, sustainable in terms of not wasting food by presenting an overload. Nice decor with nostalgic touches. Staff is very nice, and we liked the personal touches (suitaces were taken up to our room once it became available, handwritten welcome note in the room).

Gorgeous traditional hotel in the centre of Bern. The room was well laid out with everything thought of. The beds were comfy and the room facilities were great. The hotel is in a perfect location for your trio to Bern!

Problems with a leak in the shower. No air conditioner. Fan was helpful. Parking was expensive but available nearby.
