Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms could do with an update, although the hotel was cheap enough for our stay, the carpet had holes In places and the bathroom had a smell which we couldn't get to the bottom of. The view from the room was a roof top full of rubbish bags and old rugs. On our last day wanting a lie in after a tiring day we put a "do not disturb sign" on our door only to be woken by a loud knock and cleaning staff entering our room at 7.45am then talking with each other at the door whilst trying to work out if we were asleep in bed. The rooms are close together so you can hear the cleaners chatting away in the morning from the next rooms. So its best to take earplugs if your a light sleeper. The breakfast was ok, we paid for breakfast but only had it on one day as there was only 2 choices of hot food - hotdogs or scrambled egg or toast. The rest was cold foods which was all very nice but not much choice if you want a warm breakfast. On arrival the assistant wasn't very helpful or forthcoming with basic information - just gave us the room key. I had to ask where the room was situated, what time breakfast started and ended and for the free travel pass. This is information which is all usually given freely when your handed your room key. Other than this we enjoyed our stay, we had no other issues and enjoyed visiting Geneva.
The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Some of the Staff are very helpful and polite. There is a lift which helps with heavy luggage. There is a mini fridge and a toiletry cupboard if you have forgotten anything which is helpful which you will pay for as locked away. we picked up the wrong plug and staff were helpful enough to let us borrow a plug. Wifi was good and had no connection issues. Free travel pass was emailed over to us only on request so please ask. There is soaps and shower gels in bathroom to use. Rooms are cleaned daily. There is no Kettle or iron in room - I believe you can ask for a kettle not sure about iron but they do a pressing service which you pay for. Situated in a good area with only a few minutes walk to the lake and bridges. the centre of town just a 10 minute walk away. Shops and restaurants a few minutes walk.

MauritiusStayed for 2 weeks on a business trip. Perfect & centrally located a road away from the lake and iconic jet d'eau, with a buzzing area where foodies will find their treat. Clean room and good amenities and easy access to public transport within less than 5mins walk. The place is great value for money.

United KingdomThe hotel is affordable but looks a little worn. The keycards didn't always work on the door. AC didn't seem to work, although was not used much as we stayed in January.
Clean, good location, you can get the Transport Card by asking at the front desk, decent price.

United KingdomPersonally I found the room very dark for a person with vision problems and the shutter would not fully open to let in the light. Room was very hot and thermostat didn't seem to make any difference. Also the safe did not work. We paid for 4 nights bed and breakfast but only had 3 breakfasts as we were leaving earlier than breakfast was served on the last day. As it was only a continental breakfast, I think they could have offered to provide something to take away or refunded the cost of the breakfast.
Hotel was very clean and the location was great. Travel pass was great allowing use of all public transport for free. Room was cleaned and tidied every day and the staff were lovely

AustriaIt is definitely old but with character. Those who choose this hotel should know what type of hotel are choosing, to that to have right expectations.
It is a cozy hotel in a great location. It is most of the time reasonably priced, compared with others.

SwitzerlandHad lost our bookings… No room ready for us (2 rooms). Looks shabby and old. Could do with a pimp up to match current offerings in similar types of hotels

CanadaIf you are a tall person, the bed could be a little too small in height, but the width was perfect for me. The room and bathroom were on the smaller side, but for the price in Switzerland I had worse (ex. The bathroom could have been outside the room, it wasnt the case here.)
The employees were friendly at the check in/out and breakfast. The bed was comfy, it was at walking distance of the lake and Jet d’Eau. The transportation card was included and the front desk worker asked me if I wanted it. Breakfast had enough options for me, with some hot and cold food.
