I don't think the smaller older room is fit to receive guests. But host was very attentive and changed us really promptly.

We really appreciated staying at this place, at first we got a room that was a bit old and had a funny smell, I think they need to redecorate this room to be appropriate to host people. However, I spoke with the host and she changed our room to a much more modern and clean one and it make our stay 100% times better. I really enjoyed the location and how easy it was to come and go, we have no complaints of our second room, it was fantastic and really clean.

Great location within walking distance of the railway station, Piazza Grande and the lake front. The apartment in the old town in a genuine Ticino townhouse, which otherwise houses private apartments. It was comfortable and the kitchen reasonable well equipped, but with windows only opening out onto a central courtyard the room was a bit dark.

The fact that the inside patio roof was covered (because of renovation work), it was quite dark inside the apartment and therefore there wasn't a view to the outside. (it could be an idea to mention it on the website) The shower didn't drain properly.

The accommodation was lovely and in a wonderful location. It was comfortable one room studio with a small kitchen that had everything we needed - and had coffee pods and tea too! And the room was ready early so we could get in and leave our luggage!!!!

We had 6 nights and it was not really ideal for a longer stay. No washing machine, had to request an iron. Limited cooking options. It was a studio apartment so not as flexible.

Great staff, kind, super responsive & helpful with suggestions of best way to get around and restaurants. Great location very near piazza & close to Coop store. There was a fan in the apartment which was very helpful in the heat. Air conditioning worked at night which helped also. There was some live music in the piazza at night.

We waited 40mins in a heatwave to get checked in - we had a long journey to get there and our phones do not work in Switzerland so we needed free WiFi. Owner insisted we should book in online and it was Booking.com to blame. The instructions clear stated online check-in was optional. We had to ask a shop keeper nearby to contact the owner as there was no reception- just a locked shop. The shop keeper was not surprised! Whilst waiting we met a couple who had left luggage and they allowed us access out of the 35 degrees sunshine to wait for the owner. These previous guests explained the owner is very unreliable - we had already assumed that! The owner was very rude and unhelpful. The physical condition of the apartment left lots to be desired - it’s horrible despite the pictures - like a budget hostel. The headboard on the bed is all peeling and quite disgusting. We found old clothes in a drawer; the kitchen facilities were very poor and we chose to eat out rather than use them. The air conditioning is very loud and noise from the covered internal courtyard was annoying but it’s basically businesses who have open doors onto this area so not something unusual or really their fault it’s just a poor holiday accommodation setup. Ruined this part of the holiday.

Nothing - best part of this stay was leaving we cannot recommend to anyone.

Loved that the apartment was in the old town just off the main square, so great for exploring the town but also close to walk to the lake front. There is a supermarket close by in the square. The apartment was very spacious, very comfortable beds and the kitchen had everything necessary. The host was very helpful and went out of her to help us find the parking when we got lost which we so appreciated.

The exterior photos shown are not the photos of where I stayed. There are two different locations advertised here. (It would not be a problem if it was made clear that the apartments were in different locations.) There was construction in the building atrium just outside my windows. The one bedroom apartment that I booked was a studio (it's the one with the old furniture.) It does not have a patio. It does not have a landmark view. It had a view of construction in the atrium of the building. (Again, a studio is not a problem for me. Advertising a studio as a one bedroom is. Same for the non-existent patio and landmark view.) I didn't care for their check in and check out process. I said I would be there in the first hour after check in opened but I got an email saying they don't have 24 check in!? I had to make an appointment for a specific time for check in. For check out they tried to get me to download their App. I had prepaid. I successfully argued out of it but they shouldn't have asked. There was no night stand next to the bed for your phone and things. The furniture was not antique or theft store finds but just plain old.

The location was good, close to the main square. (Note that there are two separate properties advertised in this listing. The address given to you on Booking when you book is not the address of the apartment nor of the shop where you check in.) When I requested that someone come over and close the bathroom window for me (you have to climb up to do so and I was afraid of falling) because a construction worker was standing next to it they came over quickly. The Ticino pass giving you free public transportation.

The advertised balcony was very small and outdoor chairs were not provided. The outlook from the balcony was a courtyard of other apartments.

great location in a classic building within a short walk to the Piazza Grande, Locarno. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Small apartment with kitchen facility and private bathroom. Easy check in at a store near to the property.
