This property while close to the village, is at a much higher elevation. Anyone who is not prepared and in good physical shape should have a vehicle in order to access the property.

The view from this property is amazing!! It is quiet and peaceful as well.

There are quite some annoying flies around the kitchen and dining area. No washing machine provided which is misleading information in the facilities description when booking for the room; you have to pay CHF20 for laundry services. No options given for guests who don't want to use the towels provided, all towels are chargeable items at CHF4 per guest (not included in the booking fee, and you need to pay cash upon check-in). No restaurants nearby, need to self-cook meals.

Great location with a picturesque mountain view. Very close to nature and not too hard to find the property. Friendly owner.

My husband hit his head a few times on the doorway haha (it might be uncomfortable for anyone taller than 180cm). There were no flyscreens on the windows and sadly the flies were bad (from the rural area) that we had to keep the windows shut, but the view made up for it!

Staying just outside of town meant the views from our windows were incredible!! This does mean you have a steep 20 min walk to the bus or train, but we figured the exercise meant we could eat more Swiss chocolate haha! It has all the basic things you need for a cosy stay, it was very relaxing. The kids loved their bedroom! Diana was very friendly and helpful. We loved the walk from the restaurant near Brandegg train station down to the house, it was beautiful!

You definitely need a car to get around as it is a long walk to Grindelwald centre (and back up a very steep hill for around 40 minutes).

You just have to understand that the property is challenging to get to with luggage. We took a bus that got us close, then we walked downhill 20 minutes to get to house. You always want to walk downhill with luggage - uphill would have been really hard, so find the bus that goes above the property and walk down. To go home with the luggage, we rented a taxi in town to pick us up for 35 francs to take us to the train station.

This is the most amazing home - you are right on the mountain. It is so scenic and you are living like a local. You have a full kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms and bath. It's incredibly scenic with gorgeous views all around you. Get all your food first as it is the middle of nowhere.

Ceiling is quite low and I hit my head many times. Note that I am just 1.80cm, so taller people should watch out.

We had a very pleasant stay. House is old but the apartment had all the essentials (equipped kitchen, wifi OK, barbecue, large TV, fireplace), and the views are just amazing. Really nice place to have outdoor dinner when the weather is good. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

It was a bit of a struggle to go up the property since it was snowing and the route to the property is not serviced. We needed to put chains since the winter wheels still struggled.

Great location for skiing in Grindewald. A blue piste just off the property going down to Terminal. Nice ambient, cozy, warm, and has a nice local touch. The host was very accommodating.

There is a lot of extra cost that you have to pay outside of booking... I was a little too tall for some of the doors in the house ahaha.

We arrived late and we had to drive down to the city for dinner. So there is nothing we don’t like but just watch out for people who are arriving late. Its not about the property but with booking.com website they posted cost excluding room charge and we got confused as there is safety deposit mentioned as well. So we thought we paid safety deposit too but it was total cost of apartment. Diana was very kind and she explained everything to us patiently.

I like the beautiful wooden house, location next to ski slope, mountain and quiet and pleasant atmosphere. It should be great choice for people skiing. We didn’t go for ski trip, but we loved the place and would plan to stay there in future as well. Diana was super helpful and was answering all our questions even though she was at work. She even gave us milk as shops were closed. Though we forgot our tea pot in the apartment. She was guiding us on way to her apartment. Later realised that it was already mentioned in the website Diana forwarded. So do check that out and follow exactly as in the guide. We will definitely visit again for some massage and healing Diana.

Needed some more outdoor chairs. Could only get there with a car.

Ambience and Swiss chalet experience was very good. Great views over Grindelwald and of the Eiger.

The suite that we stayed in could have been slightly cleaner and needed a few more upgrades regarding cooking utensils. Beds were fairly uncomfortable especially the pull out and double bed.

This property is amazingly located in the mountains- very quiet and peaceful. It is easy to get to Grindelwald and trains. We loved the location!

Ceilings were very low. I'm 5'5" and would hit my head on the ceiling beams. The bathroom was not well lit and the toilet was wobbly. The shower was small and the floor of the shower moved when you stood on it. Also, the flies were an annoyance.

Loved the views and the serene location.
