It is not my first time to stay in Les Trois Rois, but this time was more special and impressive after trying the Blumenrain suit designed by Herzog & de Meuron … just wow! It is a unique experience to get inspired of design details, combined with elite service! It is setting a new benchmark mark of hospitality!

NetherlandsIt’s genuinely difficult to find anything we didn’t like about this hotel. If I were being very picky, I’d mention that it would have been convenient to have USB sockets in the room for charging devices. Also, while the provided toiletries were high quality, they came in large, refillable containers, it would’ve been a nice touch to have smaller, take-home versions available.
This hotel offers ultimate luxury from start to finish. The style is traditional, everything is impeccably maintained, and the entire place is spotless. The staff were exceptional, always greeting us with a smile and being incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the cocktails were perfect, and the breakfast, cakes, and other treats were outstanding. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. Every piece of furniture and every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered and was in perfect condition. They provided robes, slippers, shoehorns, an umbrella, and more. The welcome treats included fresh fruit, chocolates, and a little Eurovision-themed cake. In the evenings, they tidied the room for turndown service, closed the curtains, and neatly arranged our belongings. The corridors were carpeted with a thick central runner, which meant we never heard anyone passing by, even though the hotel was fully booked. We were also given a jar of hotel jam to take away with us and we can't wait to try it. If you’re considering this hotel and can afford the price tag, you will not be disappointed. Book it.

Absolutely outstanding hotel fully deserving its 5 start rating. Bar and brasserie are incredible and there seemed to be more staff than guests. Old-school charm rather than modernist...lots of wood paneling rather than glass and metal adds to the character. Breakfast is one of the best Ive had in Switzerland...but at 50CHF it has to be. You need to be a little careful as it is very easy to spend serious amounts of money in the hotel on top of your room cost.....but you get what you pay for. Perhaps for a special occasion rather than a standard business trip. By far the best hotel in Basel.
