Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.

Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

눉The head height is very low throughout the penthouse and so you have to be very careful with amount of beams in property. The price being requested for car parking by the host was excessive at 8CHF per day and more than all day parking in top ski resorts at 5CHF. This was particularly annoying as the we only used it from late evening to early morning when most other venues were practically free for same time period. The host did not return calls on day of arrival or send any texts in advance of our arrival and only agreed to alter car parking to 5 CHF when challenged.
눇Great location with stunning views over lake Brienz. Comfy beds and a real homely atmosphere. Keys were waiting for us outside as we arrived in late evening. Very well organised.

눉I could hear a stonemason building a rock wall far below the apartment. I recently retired from such an occupation and it made my body ache. But what a beautiful wall he was building. The place is fabulous. There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
눇The apartment was in a beautiful setting and the view from the living room just blows you away. Everything was well sorted and very comfortable to live in. It was immaculately clean and beautifully presented.The Heidi penthouse apartment perfectly captures the essence of a Swiss chalet in a lovely Swiss village. There are supermarkets and cafes right outside the door almost. It is about 350 metres from the train station.The locals were all very friendly and helpful and one evening there was a lovely folk concert 2 minutes walk form the apartment all for free.

눇Almost everything, in particular, the location which give us a very nice view of the natural beauty of the area. Maria was very helpful. The apartment was nice with all the facilities as expected. The location is perfect - it is close to all the attractions. Wish to come again and stay at the same apartment.

눉1. We were asked to wire transfer 1/2 the funds and were requested to pay cash right on the first day we arrived! Banks were not even open over the weekend. 2. There was a non-stop water leak on one of the roof windows. We had to put a pot underneath to collect water. She claimed that was the first time they had such a problem but the water stains were so dark already. It was not a new leak. 3. The bed sheets were not clean. My sister had bites on her arms and legs on the first night. Staff admitted they might not change bed sheets after renters leave. She even wanted to charge us for changing bed and sheets. After showing my sister's bite marks, she brought a small bed to us. 4. The pots and utensils were not cleaned. There was no hand soap and she said they only provide 2 rolls of toilet tissue for our 4 persons 3 nights stay. We had to buy our own. 5. It is NOT a penthouse apartment but an ATTIC. We bumped our heads everywhere. I wonder how could any 5'10" and above would survive. 6. We could NEVER get someone to answer their listed numbers nor to call us back before we arrive. Stuff was on her way out at 6:10pm while the check-in hours should be until 6:30pm.

눉The sheets could have been cleaner. We (2/4 of us) sneezed a couple of times when we wore the blankets. Could have been just the weather.
눇Loved the view from our apartment 'heidi' onlooking the beautiful waters and greenery. Wifi was excellent! Facilities were great. Maria (the manager) was kind and friendly!

눉The property is excessively expensive as they charge CHF 120 at the final day of stay for cleaning that is too much and not shown in the rent. It is shown in the terms and conditions.
눇Best Location just 2 minutes walk from the train station, grocery store (Coop, which is a cheaper store as per Swiss standards but good quality) and from the Tourists Information Center and right on the bank of the Lake Brienz. Apartment is an attic but very well kept. Kitchen had sufficient equipment for cooking. heating was also OK at least for departing winters. Maria, the lady taking care of the property and guests was also extremely helpful and always available (just a call / msg away).

눇The location was outstanding,with 360 degree view all around the apartment. Overlooking the promenade and easy access to transport and places of interests.
