I liked the location and the opportunity to see about the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. The free bus and rail pass was a great benefit.

Rooms have 16 bed mixed. Lots of snoring. People came and went out door smoking a lot so smell comes back in up until about 11.30 pm. Not many toilets and showers for 3x 16 bed dorms only 2 toilets and 2 showers.

Staff very helpful, great location very close to train station and free transport local with pass for staying. Bed comfy and had own light and socket. Big lockers available.

The price a bit high for this kind of hotel, my room was under the restaurant, so a bit noisy.

It's our second time here, and whoever we speak to from the staff - they are the kindest people ever. Genuinely kind. The place is gorgeous green with an actual vinyard just above the pool, the food is awesome. View to the lake from breakfast and 3 minute walk from the train station. I wish they had a hair fan and a kettle, but these are small things. Totally recommend!

Bathrooms could be cleaner, air in the dorm is quite stuffy and there are no curtains for the bed. the restaurant has become more expensive over the years.

The historical buildings ins the palm park are gorgeous. Loved the old bar to worl in the mainbuilding with the most fun bartender. there is a little kitchen in the hostel building. Pool is just around the corner.

I was in a room where people behaved really well, but there was another room making quite a lot of noise, so I was lucky not to be in their room. To make this place perfect I would suggest some kind of ventilation because during the night when a lot of people sleep around you there is not sufficient air. To open the windows is not the solution as someone in front the window could feel cold during the night.

The hosts (literally every single of them), and I’ve met three of them during my two night stay, were extremely helpful, welcoming and kind. The place is clean, you have a big nice pool outside the building. It’s quite close to all main spots.

My room wasn't ready at check in, so I asked if I can get a locker to store my heavy bag, this was refused and the only other option offered is to leave my bag in the common room which everyone has access too. So I had to delay my plans until the rooms were ready to be able to store my bag in the locker to go explore.

The room I booked was not in the hostel, but in the annex of the hotel. Those rooms were extremely small (esp when taking into account the price), with quite outdated furnishings. Luckily after the first night I was able to transfer to a less noisy room (i.e. less train noise, which was quite disruptive). Yet it was still noisy as I could hear everything happening in the corridors through the doors, also because the cleaning staff started very early. So if you're looking to relax in a quiet room, these rooms are not it.

The hostel and hotel were located inside a beautiful park area, with a lot of facilities such as a swimming pool, bar, restaurant etc. Also the hostel had a kitchen (though very small) and seating area, which were nice. The staff was really helpful and attentive.

Not much around the property. So you needed to walk across the station and down the hill. It was Swiss national day and getting into a restaurant without a booking was almost impossible!

Great views across Lugano, we had a garden room which was well appointed. The AC was good! The room seas better than expected since we booked via the hostel site.

We were in family, so, it was ok to lay beside each others. But for a group of friends, perhaps people could expect their own bed.

Dozens of palms in the garden, nice swimming pool, very close to the railway station and grocery shop. A good address!

Too bad the coffee machine isn’t accessible at all times but only while the common area is open, 7:30 to 22:00.

The shared room is comfortable enough, although a bit small. The outside spaces compensate for that with plenty of spots to sit in the shadow of palm trees. The pool area overlooking the lake is just heavenly and rather quiet. The breakfast, suitable for vegetarians, made me want to come back every day: a huge choice of cakes, cereals, cheeses, quiches, jams and fruit salads.
