Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A bit too expensive for what it was. Additionally, the noise coming from the hallway was way too loud, waking us up multiple times early in the morning. Having a better noise insulation at the door would help.
The breakfast was nice.

Room was good, clean. Only problem was related to the size of the bed, since we were two and had two individuals together, which is uncomfortable once you get in the middle.
Breakfast was great and served in time according with the schedule. WiFi was okay and they also give you a ticket to use public transportation for free in Zurich. Location is very good, 10-15min walking from the Luzern main train station, great neighborhood. Great staff, very helpful and kind.

Great location and helpful staff, value for money breakfast. But the bathroom was really annoying. The shower was fixed on the roof! the shower gel was in portions on small plastic bags that required a knife to open, and the bathroom light switched off every 2 minutes.

The Hotel is a little outmoded. It had already seen better days.

Hotel is quite near from the train station. Along the way from train station to hotel, you can already see the Chapel bridge. Breakfast is good. We like the Croissant. The bed is comfortable. There is no kettle in the room but there is hot water at the lobby.

Only 2 single beds were pushed together, with single bedding, no doubles. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room at all. This was a real annoyance.
Breakfast was really good for the price. It was a very expensive city so it was wonderful to have a good breakfast included. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially in breakfast room but also at check in. Location is great, a quick walk to Christmas markets and the river and not too far to haul the bags to Lucerne Train station. Cot in room was wonderful for our infant. Amazing views drom balcony of the mountains.

Nothing we didnt like but just to note that it’s quite basic. No toiletries like toothbrush were provided, no kettle as well. But hot water is easily available at the recep area.

No refrigerator, no ice, no complimentary water. Plus, the Lady at the breakfast restaurant is somewhat strict (even though she tries to be professional in her work).
I loved almost everything about the hotel. It is a small but neat boutique hotel with kind and well disciplined staff. The name dried konigue means three kings who came to welcome Jesus Christ when he was born! You can find the hotel’s signature characters (3 Kings) everywhere!

Nothing I didn't like, except maybe a bit more fruit at breakfast (bananas) and a tea/coffee making in the room.
Great location near the river. Clean, spacious twin room. Good shower and WiFi. Breakfast was a good selection and they were kind to start early on the day of the marathon.

No complaints.
Price is reasonable in a city. A bit far from train station but price explains this. Room is clean and quiet. Free hot water and tea at the lobby is a caring self service corner. Breakfast has good variety (vs same level hotels in swiss). Free bus within zone 10 of luzern.
