Relaxing and friendly hotel with small touch of luxury, but not overwhelming.

The saunas were amazing. Great and friendly staff. Comfy and homely feel to the whole place: reception, lobby, restaurant. One feels very welcome. Rooms were compact but functional. Wifi good. Shower is in the bathtub (single room). Walking distance to village/ski lift. Easy parking on the hotel property. Calm and quiet.

My son fell ill and while that could have totally ruined our trip, the helpfulness and considerateness of our hosts made a big difference. I'd gladly come back in better circumstances. And I liked that it was bit out of the way, but still easy walking to town and the kids' slopes.

The staff was super friendly, making the cold snowy day warm and cozy. The place was spotless (I even checked under the bed), and the amenities were on point. Highly recommend!

If there was something worth noting, it would be the fact that the price is not low and maybe in the future it could be adjusted down.

Hotel Kirshbuhl is an excellent location for anyone who wants to benefit from a unique view and equally high-quality services. It is a family business dedicated to families! During your stay, you realize that in fact you are not just a tourist but a small part of the family made up of the hotel staff. Our host, Mrs. Vera Brawand-Kung, can be defined without exaggeration as a master of details! Everything is perfectly arranged, the attention given to the guests, the way they ensure that the staff is impeccable makes the option for this location a correct one.

A Delightful Stay with Stunning Views and Exceptional Dining

My recent stay at Hotel Kirchbühl in Grindelwald was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by its spaciousness, complete with a convenient refrigerator and a Nespresso coffee machine – a delightful touch for coffee enthusiasts. But what truly took my breath away was the balcony. It opened up to a gorgeous view that seemed like a painting come to life, offering a tranquil spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Grindelwald. Breakfast at the hotel was a daily treat with its wide array of options. Whether you're craving something hearty or light, there's something for everyone. Accessibility is another plus. During the ski season, the local bus stops right in front of the hotel, making it extremely convenient to explore. Also, a scenic footpath leads you directly to the center of town – a lovely walk amidst stunning surroundings. We chose the half-board option, and it's safe to say that each meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the skill and care of the chefs. A special mention must be made of the Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. These were not just meals; they were festive experiences that added a special touch to our holiday stay. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all impeccable, making our Christmas at Hotel Kirchbühl a memory we will cherish. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the 4th generation of hotel owners. Their commitment to maintaining the legacy of hospitality and excellence is evident in every aspect of the hotel. It's their personal touch and attention to detail that truly sets Hotel Kirchbühl apart. In conclusion, Hotel Kirchbühl stands out not just for its amenities and location, but also for the exceptional experiences it offers. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grindelwald, whether for skiing, hiking, or simply a peaceful getaway.

Nothing to mention here - only that our four-night stay was too short for what the place has to offer.

This hotel has an outstanding location, being situated on an elevated site and offering a large open space on the property. The room had a beautiful view of Grindelwald in the valley, looking at Glacier Canyon Grindelwald and having the massive Mattenberg and Eiger mountains to the left and right of the glacier. The place is absolutely relaxing, the air is clean and deeply refreshing, and in particular the water at the hotel taps is better than any bottled water, as it's provided by the nearby glacier. Cable cars to Grindelwald First are within walking distance and a bit farther are the state-of-the-art Eiger Express tricable cars to Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe" peak.

Need to take a little bit walk uphill if your are not driving or taking their shuttle car.

Super nice staff, room was clean. Dinner set and breakfast were great, the waiter and waitress in the restaurant provided good service and recommendation on wine suggestion.

The blankets were kinda too hot for our liking but in all honesty I'm a sweaty person so it is what it is.

View was gorgeous, our second-floor room gave us plenty of headspace to take in Grindelwald's magnificent mountains. Breakfast served was simple but very fulfilling. The hotel is located 10-20 mins by walking distance from Grindelwald train station (we were informed that there was a bus shuttle service from the station to the hotel but we personally loved the walk and cardio). I would book again!

Breakfast was excellent, and they had the best breakfast during our visit to Switzerland. The spa was good. The hotel is close to grindelwald first. They also include free bus pass, which was helpful in the mornings.

The location was a bit far from the train station if you bring luggage. However, they provide shuttle buses to pick you up from the train station which is pretty thoughtful!

The view from the balcony was breathtaking. I would highly recommend it! Also, the window on the rooftop was amazing, we enjoyed looking at the stars at night.
