Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandSome issues with the automatic check-in that required us to have a call with the service desk, but it was resolved without further issues. The room was nice with comfortable beds, and the restaurant downstairs is good as well. Nice breakfast The "water saving" shower saves a lot of water, resulting in only a mist coming, not the most convenient to rinse... The toilet had a small issue: we needed to force the button back to not have a continuous flushing, a bit opposite to the shower.

GreeceCute small hotel on the village's main square, that has been a guesthouse and cafe restaurant since long time. Newly renovated with taste, it has nice small rooms. Apart from the staff at the bar, that was very helpful, there isn't any reception desk. You can check-in and out online or on site, at the terminal as you enter. The room was very clean but too small. On the other hand, what you pay is what you get. So, a good VFM all-round. Breakfast was very nice, without too many choices but very fresh and tasty. Parking is kinda free on the square just outside, you need to renew your 2 hours limit (blue disk).

SwitzerlandWe have been located on the top floor with drafty window. It was freezing cold and traffic noise can be easily heard at night. Bathroom was tiny and not easy to have a shower inside. Socket came off from the wall and should be fixed for security reasons.
Location and free indoor parking. Fresh scrambled eggs can be ordered for breakfast.

IsraelAutomatic check-in worked terribly and there was no answer in the telphone number provided for half an hour. Lounge whch was promised to be opened 24/7 was locked and there was no way to get coffee until the morning. Veriety of selection in breakfast was very poor - no vegetables or muesli.
Excellent location. Room spacy and comfortable bed.

NetherlandsWe never managed to check in and get in contact with reception. They have a mobile check-in. However the machine didn't work after several attempts and the number was unreachable. We tried for 2 hours, also with help from next door restaurant and other residents. However we didn't manage and there was no help/ back-up at all!!! Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. especially since they have more hotels in their connection there should at least be a central point of contact. I had been traveling with my son in the car for more than 8 hours, so finally I decided to sleep in the car. I have sent several mails to their administration/ management but no reaction!
it seemed to be a nice break before w hit the real ski resorts

SwitzerlandThere was a very bad smell in our room, like sewage. We could not stay more than two hours, and left the hotel to find somewere else to stay. Had the receptionist not been an automated system, I would have lodged a complaint. Furthermore, the room’s appearance deviated significantly from the images presented on booking.com, another instance of deception.
Nothing at all.

United StatesEnjoyed our stay at Peanut lodge (never got the story). Spotless, modern, fun, cheerful, functional hotel. We booked the smallest room and it was small, but did the job. Reminds me of Moxy hotels - a bit quirky, but ok. Bath was the smallest. Parking was just outside the front door in the village public square. No problem for us, during high season I wonder?? Never had a machine check me in before, but it worked perfectly and spit out a key to our room. For what felt like a basic hotel, the sauna and restaurant were excellent. Food was amazing and extremely well presented. Small menu, but it is a small hotel, so makes sense. Our window opened to the side where the Bolangerie was and we went to sleep to the smell of baking bread - Glad we were not hungry - A 1st for us and delightful! Our room was quiet even with the window open, not sure if our room had faced the uphill round-about, might not have been so quiet.

BelgiumWe didn't like that we had such a small windows- not the view we got on the booking. We did not like that when we wanted to check in that it was asking us to pay agan. We did not like it the the second morning breakfast was not prepared for us, we had to ask for bread, for juice, for eggs. Staff was very helpfull after asking. And we did not like that we had to pay for taxes again by checking out, should be included.

SwitzerlandCan't comment really as we ended up leaving. The problem was we had problems checking in with the automated system and this took a very long time (over an hour) to resolve as no-one was there. This was despite us attempting to check in half an hour earlier than check-in time (2.30pm) while there were still staff in the restaurant to avoid this problem, as the hotel had actually phoned to say there was a problem with the check-in system and we had seen from booking reviews that this was a known issue with the hotel. We live not too far away so for us the best option was to go home rather than wait around in the cold porch feeling annoyed! The hotel were good about processing the refund of our room very quickly given the circumstances. However, the hotel needs to take steps to be more flexible helping clients when their automated system does not work.

SwitzerlandWhile our stay was nearly perfect, the addition of a dedicated kids' playroom and babysitting services could significantly enhance the experience for families, ensuring a truly relaxing and worry-free getaway for parents.
Our group of 24, including babies, had a fantastic stay at Peanut Mountain Lodge & Le Communal. The staff, especially Amendine, showcased outstanding professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring our needs were met with the utmost care. The cuisine was a standout, earning unanimous praise from our group for its quality and taste, thanks to the skilled chef. Located just 10 minutes from the ski resort, the lodge offered convenient access to the slopes, making our ski trips effortless and enjoyable. In Summary: Highly recommended for groups seeking a mix of comfort, exceptional service, and easy ski access. A big thank you to the entire lodge team for a memorable stay. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
