Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The room lacked air conditioning. As a result, it was too hot. It's a pity that there is no dishwasher in the studio rooms.
Very good breakfast, nice restaurant, good coffee, helpful and very nice staff, extremely clean facility.

The hotel is located in a small town and therefore is not operated on a 24/7 basis. The reception is closed outside normal business hours and keys can be collected from the restaurant staff. There is no staff presence on a Sunday when a coupon is issued to eat breakfast at a cafe close by.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It is located in the centre of a small town, surrounded by offices and apartment buildings. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is served here Monday-Saturday.

The rooms only have forced air exchange, i.e. through an open window. There is no air conditioning, which is a disadvantage in extreme summer conditions. An open window with an outside blind is a good option, but if you want to sleep in and have a room facing the church, take into account that the bells ring time from 6am. I recommend turning on the fridge before guests arrive, it takes an awfully long time to get cold (it is hours).
Breakfast exceeded all my expectations. Great choice, plenty of everything, pleasant restaurant/bar and service.

The room was advertised as non-smoking, but the designated smoking area was literally in my windows. If you dislike cigarette smoke, avoid room 8, unfortunately it lacks the fresh air.
Very friendly, helpful staff, they also lent me a travel adapter. Delicious buffet breakfast, flexible room cleaning times.

I guess I was unlucky but the elevator did not work so I had to carry a big heavy suitcase 2 floors up with no one to help (staff is only in the hotel until 17:00).

I arrived over a weekend when the hotel is not staffed. I found it impossible to work out how to get my key and find the location of my room. I needed to call the 'out of hours' number which should not have been necessary. It would have been helpful if there was some information, be it in German or English, at the hotel to explain the key collection procedure for those arriving out of the usual business hours. The sound proofing between rooms was minimal, fortunately my neighbour only had a very bad cough ....
The location was very convenient for my purposes. The hotel is in Diepoldsau, which does not have a train station but is well served by other public transport if you don't have a car. The buffet breakfast was kept replenished throughout the breakfast period. The hotel was exceptionally clean. I stayed in a studio which had a kitchenette in the lounge area and a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. It was ideal for those staying in the area a bit longer or with families.

Wifi There is no ashing machine at room.(photos are misleading)
Wifi is not working good, Studio rooms showing like equipped with washingmachine but there is no washing machine.Photoes not correct.Accept this items no big issues.You can stay safely.Car parking are is good enough.

We were very disappointed, because we did not get what we reserved. I hope, this only happened to us. When we came to the reception (around 18p.m), they were already closed. At the bar, the the waitress gave us the key to the room. We booked a studio with a king-size bed. They gave us a bed 140 cm long - a French bed with a side. The bathroom was half smaller than in the pictures when we booked the room. On top of everything, the insulation of rooms is very poor. You can hear the neighbors all the time. Specialy at night this is very annoying. We stay there only 1 night, despite the fact that we had reservation for 3 nights. This is the first time for us, that we did not get what we reserved. And honestly we did not expect that this would happened in Switzerland, which is considered a truly dream country.
