No breakfast service available and had to look for a cafe nearby -despite breakfast being listed in booking. No reception available and Restaurant opens at 10 am, so management for check in and checkout seem to use restaurant hrs only. Need to arrange check out time.

Location was superb and room was large and comfy. The staff who came for checkout after we call management was super nice and even came to the room for our convenience. Lady at the bar opposite was very nice to show us the room at check in as reception was closed on Sunday when we needed to check in

Sadly it was very poorly equipped. And I may have missed the information that it is basically a self catering apartment. To have some basic things like coffee, tea, milk would be helpful. Also tea towels to dry the washing up. And somewhere to put washing up on! There is only one HUGE saucepan for boiling water, and there are tiny cups. For the price paid it would be a very simple thing to provide a few more provisions. It was also unfortunate that Booking.com listed the property as having parking when it doesn’t. An added frustration.

The room was slightly cold. A mirror near to a socket in the bedroom and tea and coffee making facilities would make this a 10 out of 10.

The location, the double-aspect room, the helpful staff and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

The kitchen facilities were lacking - no kettle or cereal bowls or spoons (we had to ask for them) and no toaster, insufficient kitchen utensils (eg. no egg slice, bread knife, spatula), and no microwave or oven. Also, many of the TV channels listed were not available, eg. music channels, and Netflix was inaccessible. The staff were friendly and helpful but were restaurant staff and didn't know much about our room.

Due to it's central location, sometimes there was noise from people outside, as the room was on the first floor with a window to the street. Earplugs were helpful, though.

The room was spacious with high ceilings. It was clean. The bathroom included a jacuzzi, which was a nice surprise. The hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel location was very convenient, right in the centre of Thun.

Unfortunately, there's a whole list of downsides: - there's no reception, the apartments are managed by restaurant downsairs so if they're busy serving tables it's hard to get any information. Check-in was odd - we had to wait next to the staff eating lunch which was uncomfortable for everyone. - the apartment is great, but the amenities are surprisingly scarce or of sub-par quality: soap, shower gel and toilet paper were of the cheapest qualities. Kitchen has a bare minimum of plates and utensils, and jagged Ikea ceramic knives. No ashtray on the balcony, no soap in the toilet (only in bathroom). - check-out at 10:00 is super restricting: given there's no parking, we had to drag our stuff to our car at the city parking across the river in the morning to enjoy some time in town - no parking, even though it's listed in hotel facilities - there's no AC so in summer the windows just have to be opened for some fresh air, but then the morning city cleaning is guaranteed to wake you up at 6AM

It's VERY spacious - a huge room the size of the full floor of the building. Very nicely designed and maintained, with large balcony and separate shower/toilet rooms. Nespresso machine had plenty of capsules, and it generally felt great inside - we could definitely spend more time there. It's at the heart of the old town so plenty of nice restaurants around.

Nil reception area or reception staff, not really set up to receive guests, building locked. Upon arrival a restaurant waiter gave us a key but had difficulty finding our room, knew nothing about free travel passes and not able to provide. We returned about 1 and half hours later, could not find anyone so messaged re needing urgent passes and owner instantly responded. New system and took half hour to provide passes in meantime we missed buses and did not get to travel( we were provided free glass of wine each). No soap in bathroom when needed it early next morning. Just need to work on these areas and it would be a lovely stay.
