-Self check in, We always arrive late in the evening between 8-9pm, where every time something goes wrong but there is noone to assist and you have to go to the reception of the Villa leopoldo to ask for assistance. - no twin rooms available, despite the fact that we booked for a twin room (and we explicitly requested by special note) with my co traveler (obviously not a couple) we were given a very nice room but with double bed. Then we had to wait until someone from Villa leopoldo came to give another room which supposed to be twin but actually was a double with two separate beds which we had to move somewhere else within the room and all of these at 23:30 after one day drive from Germany… The room was rather dirty as it appeared that they do not use often (spiders on the walls dirt on the heating devices dirty beds at the area connected to each other etc. ) Staff advised that these rooms are not renovated and somehow we should know that! This is a very nice hotel within superb greenery super spacious rooms super spacious bathrooms and it’s the 5th time we are staying there . However it must be clear that this hotel does not offer twin rooms.Booking.com must amend the procedure so there will not be an option for twin rooms.

Renovation in front of the room at the spa and therefore, you had to go for the spa/sauna to go to the other building Breakfast if one stays multiple days then it gets very repetitive.

1/ the hotel is co-managed by another 5 stars hotel nearby, so we had to walk to another hotel to check in; 2/ the big issue about the room is that we did not found air circulation in the bathroom, so the bathroom is extremely hot!

We booked a double room for 3 people with an extra bed. We love the size of the room, it is very big! The hotel is decorated in ancient roman style.

No coffee machine available in the room, self check in machine which are not of assistance(second time) could not process check in or find my reservation through booking.com, no receptionist overnight till 11:00 am next day. So if you arrive by 9:30 or later and the machine cannot check you in you must go at villa hotel opposite and seek for the reception to do this. Imagine doing this after 5 hours driving..

The hotel itself requires some renovation work. One of our room had a leakage and the bathrooms are not in good shape. Gym equipment limited. Limited parking. I asked 3 times to get a scale working but it never happened.

Great room, very spacious and quiet. Good breakfast. We enjoyed the tennis courts. Best to us was the pool which was very welcome given the heat.

Mind there are plenty stairs in the hotel even in the room. It was quite challenging for our granny. Mind also that you have to phone up to have a receptionist cause nobody is there.

A little tired in places, there was a dreadful leak in the corridor roof, water was pouring in.

Stunning location! Breakfast is served in the main hotel across the road, if the weather is fair you can sit outside on the terrace over looking the lake - just stunning! Super outdoor pool, great for lengths and perfect temperature. Very spacious rooms, with little terrace, very private.

The room deco was a bit outdated, there was no view at all, but it was very private. There were few sockets in the room, none next to the bed and they were very old and fragile. The electric circuit must have been slightly off, as I got twice a little electric discharged when unplugging the laptop.

The staff reception was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, however was served in at the hotel on the other side of the road, a totally different location with amazing views and a classic deco. The room was very spacious and the gym at the Park Hotel Principe was fantastic. The walk to town is enjoyable and shorter than you think.

had to check in automatically but then go to check in once again at Leonardo hotel opposite. would be annoying to do that with suitcases, in the rain, say.
