Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe reception has short timetable and nobody is available after 5pm, and at evening the hall is an abandoned place. Breakfast is incredibly expensive considering our mediterranean habits (usually cappuccino and croissant), then we preferred avoid it.
Very nice position in front the lake (is enough cross the street to enjoy a beautiful over the lake and nearby mountains), with comfortable room (we were three), clean and spacious. Luzern is easy reacheable with car while the tram stop isn't so close to the hotel but in any case achievable by walk.

India1. Price could have been better. 310 CHF for 2 night. 2. Hotel was closed in the evening so there was no one to answer you in case you had something to ask later in the evening but it was communicated in advance by the hotel.
It was a big room with comfortable bed and with a nice view and nearby access to the lake. They also had variety of options for breakfast(though we didn't try it but it was always full in the morning given that Hotel only had 14 rooms). You get the city pass which let you travel using bus and train within the zone 10.

United KingdomWe didn't like that it was unstaffed after 5. We would have liked slightly firmer pillows.
The views and location were great. We appreciated the use of the city pass and the number 24 bus. The staff were very friendly and helpful in lending us adaptors.

United States of AmericaRooms were equipped with barely enough for all three of us to sleep, much less being able to sit down when in the room.
Hotel location is great, easy access to museum and city with bus, lake access across the street. Staff was fabulous, and underground parking is a great plus in heat and bad weather. Overall very accommodating!

IndiaClean room with clear instructions on check-in. Provided free transport card for the duration of my stay and a free ride (12 mins by bus) to the hotel from the train station. Side door with an open area next to it, is easy to operate after 5 pm. Better to check-in before 5 pm if carrying luggage. Good restaurant in the hotel. Pleasant staff.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are probably meant to accommodate students in the school, so they have a bit of a dormitory feel to them: small and sparingly equipped. There is no coffee machine or water pot in the room and coffee in the restaurant is not free. Being Switzerland there is no AC, and during our July visit it felt a bit stuffy at night, although the provided electric fan helped. Some investment in better mattresses, pillows, sheets and towels would make the rooms look and feel much better. Lastly, the school administrator seemed to double as the hotel receptionist and, while very friendly, was not as accessible to guests as one may have liked.
With a location right on Lake Luzern, with magnificent mountains greeting you every morning, you cannot go wrong. Although a bit outside town, there is a free bus every 15 mins, and you can also take a pleasant 45 min walk to town along the lakeshore. The Museum of Transportation (a must-see) is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel, and you can catch the boat to Mt. Rigi from the Lido dock nearby. The hotel doubles as a culinary/bakery school and you can sample a wide variety of delicious, freshly-baked breads, cheeses and home-made jams every morning, for 20 CHF. Lastly, the price we paid was very reasonable.

NetherlandsThe lift closes after 17:00, so you have to use the stairs and enter the hotel from side door. If you have large langage, you may face a bit of tiredness.
The room was spacious and very clean. I had a high speed wifi that was really helpful. Also, the bathroom was very tidy. The staff were really nice. I had to do late check in, so they allow me to pick the key up from the neighbor hotel.

United KingdomView out of the hotel was not great, the plugs in the hotel did not work with my European adapter so should have bought the correct plug. The breakfast looked fantastic but was pricey.
Easy to check in with great underground secure parking for my motorcycle. Comfortable room with really easy access to Lucerne. Managed to walk along the lake via the Lido to the centre of town which took about 40 minutes.
