We loved everything, the location, the friendliness of the staff, the food, the comfort, the accessability, the extras like free access to the spa, sauna, pool, public transport in a large area plus free access to the cable cars. amongst other benefits. Just great.

What needs improvement is the area where some guests get served dinner and breakfast. This place has an amazing area wood panelled where one can eat. However for some reason some guests were placed in the other area. This is a depressing area with no colour or way to make you feel welcomed. There are four of five pillars with rose glitter type stone. Next to that service needs training. It cannot be one needs to wait 25 min before even someone arrives and then another 20 min to notice food has not arrived. Finally what killed it completely is tables were being cleared while guests were still eating as plates for breakfast were already being put in place. A non-go and something that will most likely deter me from at least having dinner there again. However if the decision would be made to extend the wood panelling into this area: do something about the pillars: bring in proper staff that is customer oriented and finally also do away with the fake Ikea plants who knows.....

The review is not so much about this hotel but about the Belvedere as there were not enough guests so I was relocated. A pity as there were reasons why I choose the other hotel. What I liked nevertheless was the bar area and the balcony I could sit on in the afternoon feeling the warm sun on my face in November. Also the offer to use the nearby Spa facility was welcomed.

If you want to be sure about parking better to ask for a garage, especially during the season.

I decided to stay at Engadiner Boutique-Hotel GuardaVal because I knew this place from the past and I really like it. The Hotel is located very well and the building is connected with the Spa via "tunnel". The staff is always extremely helpful.

Just a minor point it is situated up a steep hill although there is a passageway down to the main road but that involves lots of steps. If you are fit no problem but if not could be a bit of a struggle but still worth it when you get there!

Liked everything about it. Great central location, fantastic views over the old town from the lovely sun terrace. Food was exquisite, staff helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast - nothing beats Swiss bread! with plenty of choices. Great surroundings beautifully done. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly and obliging. We are vegans and were a bit worried about our food option but the cook and the staff really accommodated to our wishes. Without even asking, we got a great breakfast with vegan options next to the standard options at the buffet. Everything was very clean and the fact that we could use the PT for free during our stay and the day of departure as well as all the other amenities (swimmjng pools etc.) really made this worth our money. Just in general, the view and the location are great, the staff are all very friendly and nice, the facilities are great and everything was fabulous. Would definitely recommend.

Following relates to the hotel Bellvedere (sister hotel), where we were transferred: the style of furniture and decoration is all messed up and confusing and to the large extent outdated. The „art“ exhibition in the corridors shall really be removed - it’s downgrading the experience. It’s a fantastic piece of architecture that was massively scarred by the lack of direction and taste.

Location is what this hotel is all about! Fantastic views of mountains and the village! Also, the direct connection to the Therme is very convenient. The best breakfast buffet possible!
