The Price of the Moring Breakfast was completly out of reality. Since I had made my reservation via Booking I was suppose to pay CHF 25,00 for Breakfast. What makes things even worst was that I was told that if I had made the reservation direct with the Hotel the Breakfast would only cost CHF 15,00. Its a completly rip off for breakfast.

The room was small but sufficient for a brief stay. Ceilings are low but the decor is charming. Access to the hotel rooms is via a steep side path and inside the hotel the stairs are small and narrow. Neither were a problem and it added to the charm, but it would be good to know for anyone with mobility issues. The breakfast was adequate. Free parking is available in the few spots directly outside the chalet or across the road at the modern sister-hotel, Shloss-Hotel Am See. Chalet-Hotel Lodge visitors have access to the sauna in the Schloss-Hotel.

Morning staff weren't as friendly. Also nobody was at the front desk until 8am, would be nice to be able to turn on the sauna myself. Also, always check ina t the Schloss instead. Tv didn't work, but not a big deal

Schloss was beautiful and the gentlemen who checked us in was excellent and very friendly. We also had fondue at the Swiss Chalet which was a wonderful experience.

Extra costs per day for parking, was mentioned but as in all area there is not much beside of this hotel, it could have been suspended for hotel guests

We live in No.611,the room is not soundproof enough,even though 11pm,can hear the noise from bar or corridor always.narrow space and old furniture.

Choices of the Menu in the Restaurant rather limited, service somewhat slow. They messed up my order. Brought the wrong side dish. They promised to bring the correct one, but it took very long. I had finished eating my hot main dish, and the correct side dish had still not arrived, so I told them to keep it.

Breakfast buffet with excellent choices. Complimentary Nespresso Coffee in the Hotel Lounge. Free Parking and good Wifi.

Unfortunately for us due to the weather being sweltering hot and the room having no air conditioning it was very hard to sleep. If you are tall be aware the ceilings are very low in some rooms.

Beautiful Swiss chalet close to the train station with views of Lake Luzern. Good value for money in Switzerland and the staff were lovely.

SUPER hot at night and they gave us one weak fan, so sleeping was kind of uncomfortable. if we opened the windows it was fine but then the cars would wake us up in the morning

The bathroom was ridiculously small, this may be a 4 star hotel, but the small bathroom would barely rate 2 stars. The shower was a very small <80 cm square, moving in it to do almost anything, washing your feet for example, was a struggle. Not enjoyable. The room lacked air conditioning, but to be fair there was a large floor fan which helped us through the hot nights.

I liked the location of this lakefront hotel, beautiful setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel and has a lot of charm, what you might expect in Switzerland. I also appreciated the parking lot on the hotel grounds, making arrival by car very convenient.

No air conditioning and it was an uphill hike with luggage to catch the regional train.

Good location and breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel also gave complimentary tickets for local public transit in Lucerne and a complimentary large bottle of spring water.

It would be better if the shared bathroom was cleaned more often during the day, as it becomes a full mess in the evening.

My wife and I really enjoyed spending one night in that hotel. We had a small, affordable room, which had  value since it was clean and nice.

I will suggest install station with tea/coffee mashine or hot water in Chalet where we stay as with hotel roles was no kettle in bedroom.

We really enjoyed ours 2 night's in Swiss-Chalet Merlischachen: exelent breakfast, very god location, comfortable bed, all overall hotel has cosy character. Big thank you to reception servise.

Nothing to complain.

This is a really nice location with a beautiful view on Mount Rigi and over the lake. We booked rooms in the old Swiss style chalet, which is nicely restored and beautiful in itself. Breakfast was great and staff was really nice and helpful to figure out which mountains would be good to go and which ones not (due to low clouds). It is really good value for your money.

Dinner at the restaurant. The staff was very good, but the food was under our expactations.
