How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location was terrible. We are travelling around Switzerland and seen and stayed in some beautiful places. Not sure how i got the one so wrong. It has very good reviews so we were shocked when we turned up. Looked out onto a large trainline with graffiti everywhere. Kids hanging around so didnt feel safe. It was hot but we couldn't open the windows due the noise outside and trains going past every 5 mins!! 1 fan for the whole apartment just not enough with no aircon. The shower didn't run away quick enough so the bathroom flooded. Also listed it had an ironing board and iron. None to be seen. We checked out early and moved on.

The rooms are described in detail on booking.com, and it is also mentioned that there is no air conditioning. The building is climate-controlled and ventilated 24 hours a day, so there is no need to open the windows. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied and would have liked you to have informed us earlier. We would have been happy to bring you an ironing board and fan to your apartment upon request. We reached before 15:00( check-in time) and the receptionist received us with such a kindness and hospitality.Location - very near to the train station.The rooms are very modern with unique design ,clean and well maintained. It was quite hot when we stayed and stuffy in the bedrooms. Some fans would have been great as you couldn’t open the French doors due to the street and rail noise.

Breakfast was simple but filling They even prepared a breakfast box for me upon request bec I left very early. Room was compact but super comfortable and clean and cozy.
I think they should have signs if you want to keep sheets and towels; to be more eco friendly.

We booked 2 two bed apartments for 4 days. Little things could be better 4 coffee pods for 4 people ? Have to pay for more after using the 4 More than 1 tea towel should be provided for a 4 day stay. A clean/new dish cloth should be provided for new guests
