Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Zurich is always expensive...
Was in town for mtg and location was very convenient. Small but clean room, but perfect for my purposes with good wifi. Staff was helpful and responsive.

Glass see through door on bathroom!!! Slightly inappropriate comments from man on reception which made us uncomfortable
Excellent location in centre of town but still near the station - only 7 minutes easy walk. Room was comfortable with tea making facilities & excellent coffee machine. Very good value overall

The shower had only a half-glass wall with no doors, so the floor got all wet after every shower. I really don’t see the point in not installing a proper sealed enclosure…
My room was clean, good sized and had a nice lighting. It seemed to be a bit too hot, but the temperature was cool during my stay, so it wasn’t unpleasant. The breakfast could have been better. The staff made very good eggs, but there wasn’t many varieties of bread. The coffee was just ok. Location is very good: the hotel is near everything.

The air conditioning was a little weak and not quite up to the job of countering the 34oC days that we had when we were there, though definitely better than not having any at all. Really quite a minor complaint.
Clean and modern with excellent, comfortable beds. Great location near to plenty of bars and restaurants. I found it very good value too. The shower was excellent.

The air conditioning was working so well. Very little air coming out.
Close to everything. Zürich main station is just 6 mins walking down and cross the river. And the shower pressure and breakfast were great.

Booked and explicitly explained via messaging service that we wanted Twin Beds ... Got a double bed and a shoulder shrug from the reception - not an acceptable response. Once the staff realised that we were not joking, they rapidly found a 'solution' which was a double bed that could be unclipped and separated 10cm to become twin beds. Not good enough.

I visited during the summer in hot weather, and I just wanted to mention that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Sleeping at night was quite difficult because it's located close to a clock tower, so leaving the windows open wasn't really an option due to the noise. Something to be aware of if you're visiting in warmer months.
The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and very fast. Every guest request was handled efficiently and with genuine courtesy, which really stood out during our stay.

No A/C, and central fans are loud and cannot be controlled from the room. You can ask at the reception to reduce fan speed or power them off.
Great location close to the train station, walking distance to main tourist attractions. Good breakfast.

However, the room itself was quite small. We happened to stay during a very hot day, and despite the fan and ventilation, the room remained uncomfortably warm.
The hotel is in a great location – close to restaurants and the train station, yet still quiet. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, and we appreciated that checking out very early in the morning was not a problem.

Great location fairly close to train station (about 15 mins walk) but taxis available outside station. Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast (extra cost) was really nice and they will cook your eggs to your liking. Zürich is a lovely place to explore with more street cafes than you will have time to go in. Very clean and safe for walking around. Lots of beautiful buildings to see and mixture of designer and high street shops.

The glass of the shower was too small and all the toilet got wet. Also the parking is not confortable for large cars
The room was great, had AC and was in a good area to walk anywhere in Zurich. Staff super helpful. They gave a pillow menu, unluckily I saw it when I woke up on my last day
