The room was amazing, the toilet has a an automatic bidet and the view was calming and relaxing. I had an amazing dinner at Verbena and their breakfast was elegant and tasty.

The service could be improved. The room service was not at its best. When we ordered water and a cappuccino to the room, it took hours to arrive and in the end was never delivered, despite several reminders.

The hotel is truly excellent. It is luxurious, comfortable, and relaxing. The pool is very nice, the room is outstanding, and the reception staff are excellent.

This is me being super critical- there were a lot of flys about , in the restaurant, lobby, bar etc… A hot chocolate I had, I don’t think had seen any cocoa or chocolate. It would have been great to have fresh milk in the mini bar instead of little uht type packets. One night I think the goats near by were making so much noise with the bells around their necks, which was a nice sound to hear in the day but not when trying to sleep.

Breakfast was great, everything was spotless, loads of different drinks in the mini bar. Waldhotel spa was lovely and quiet. Views are amazing , all the furnishings were clean and modern and didn’t look tired at all. Staff were friendly and especially attentive in the verbena restaurant.

The cost of the property per night is high. While the property is amazing, I would still say, it's fair to good value, given the cost is over CHF 1000 per night.

I stayed for two nights at the Burgenstock but was offered to stay 1 night at the Waldhotel, and second night at the Heritage/Palace Hotel property for a supplement payment, given the property had the access to the Alpine Spa [including the Infinity pool], whereas Waldhotel did not have the access to the same. Hence, I decided to opt for the same. The Waldhotel room was overlooking the mountains with some cottages with cows, with a very serene and green environment. Whereas the Heritage room was out of the world, as properly classified as 'A room with a view' of Lake Lucerne, and the mountains. It was very picturesque. I enjoyed every minute of being in the Alpine Spa (separate access to it costs circa CHF 215), including the Inifinity Pool, Indoor temperature controlled swimming pool, Spa area [particularly the Green Tea Steam Room / Menthol Steam].

There were three hotel buildings, we booked in the waldhotel. I found it the best ! It is not facing the lake although but it is spacious and smells nice and very quite!

the check out was a bit slow specially at 12 noon ,lots of people queuing up to depart.

The location is beautiful , the facilities are excellent and the staff superb . The staff goes out of the way to make your stay very enjoyable . We particularly appreciated the services and warmth of restaurant manager of Verbena restaurant and Scangar at Spices , who went out of the way to explain to us about the food and the history of Burgestock .

The location could be hard to reach but the view is worth it They have facilities that can provide you a boat ride to Luzerne And the new breakfast is amazing espically the Shakshuka

- Hotel tried to overcharge me twice and if I didn't notice, I would have overpaid. First time we were presented with a full bill during the dinner even though we paid for the dinner in advance. This was fixed, but we had to complain and wait for the staff to resolve the situation. After the stay it turned out that the hotel made a charge on my credit card even though we have already paid through Booking.com. Again, the situation was resolved, but I had to call the hotel and fill a repayment form they sent me. Not only I lost time fixing this, but I believe that if I didn't notice the credit card charge myself the hotel would just keep the money... - Parts of the spa were closed at this time of the year - The pool is rather small - TV software is custom and even though the TVs are new and nice using them is rather cumbersome.

The hotel is nice, new, looks fresh and is very clean. Beds are comfy and sound insulation is great, so we were able to get good sleep. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff were all helpful. The view from the window/balcony is great as it overlooks the mountains, forest and meadows. Our stay was generally very relaxing.

The location and panorama are exceptional! Lake Lucerne is our favourite destination every time we have a birthday celebration. All staffs are professional, helpful and friendly. My husband got Birthday presents from Waldhotel and we were lucky that on my husband's birthday, no-one was in the Sauna and the pool. So we had kinda ''private'' Pool and Sauna :D Our birthday dinner at Verbena was also fantastic. The chocolate cake that I arranged with Guest Team Experience was super delicious!

The pictures do not do the hotel justice, and this is quite hard to believe seeing how beautiful the pictures are already. I would even work there if I would mean me spending more time there. Just brilliant !

Wonderful staff at Waldhotel, especially those in the restaurant are very attentive to our needs and requests. Excellent food at Verbena restaurant, both in terms of quality, taste and presentation. It started to snow the day we arrived. The Burgenstock turned into a winter wonderland with spectacular views. Great spa. It was a treat to appreciate the snow falling while enjoying the hot outdoor pool:-) Free tickets for the furnicular and boat to Lucerne was a plus.

Fantastic property! Beautiful architecture, surrounding views across lake and mountains make this place a great retreat, yet it is very well connected to Luzern. Cuisine is exceptional and staff are wonderful. Will be returning to experience spring as well, great all year location!

The front desk lady who checked us out on 12/21 is cold.

Great property. Room is large, modern with great view and amenities. Spa is nice too does not have the infinity pool but has everything else with much less people. Paolo who checked us in was very nice and pleasant. Most of the service team is professional and courteous.
