Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe staff is incredible and took great care of all the guests (including booking bus tickets which would't have been possible otherwise). Nicole, in particular, was super friendly and helpful!

SpainThis time was perfecttttttt!
I was in Sonderia in 2023 and the only problem i found was that they didn't have any foreigners at that moment or activities for foreigners, but I repeated this year because I just loved anything else, and with Nicole at the frontdesk they solved any complain I had two years ago. Near Wenshu temple in a nice neighborhood, just coming back every night knowing you'll have life music in a charming bar such a nice touch. And they organized events and tours for travellers, so easy to get to know people in the laid back Chengdù but specially easy if you stay in Sonderia.

PolandThe rooms are rather small, but you don't come to Chengdu to stay in the room. All that counts is perfect: rooms are clean and quiet, and downstairs you'd find food, drinks, live music, various lessons to choose from, and a very good coffee (which is not easy in China!). But what matters the most are the people. Our guide and true friend was Damon - thank you very much for all your help. We'll never forget that!

GreeceAmazing hostel that offers plenty of tours and guidance to help you better plan your days in Chengdu. All the staff was really nice and knew English very well, but a huge shout out to Nicole, who is the sweetest receptionist I have ever encountered and made my day with her smile. She was extremely welcoming and polite. I can't recommend it enough! I'm definitely coming back there in the future

ItalyThe hostel is very nice and welcoming, located in a strategic area for visiting Chengdu. The staff is very professional. In particular, Amy was really kind and helpful; she recommended some excellent restaurants and also assisted us with our trip through chat. Her genuine care made us feel at home, and she truly went above and beyond to make our stay special

ItalyFor the position, the main scenic spots in Chengdu are not super close (not reachable by walk). For the hostel itself, no complains, everything was more than okay.
The atmosphere was chill and welcoming. Nicole and Amy, at the reception, were super kind, sweet, and helpful. The tours organized by the hostel are well planned. The bar in the hall is a cool place to relax. Definitely recommended for a trip in Chengdu.

Great hostel. The staff is lovely and especially Nicole helped me so much during my trip, from booking one of their tours to dinner recommendations and so much more, she was always there! The breakfast is nice and filling. Location-wise they are a 10 minute walk from Wenshu Monastery and just out the door there are many convenience stores and food spots. I highly recommend signing up to their free activities. They offer different tours for a reasonable price. The hostel is social, but at the same time quiet. The AC works well! Great shower and loved that the bathroom was ensuite. Stayed in a 4 bed female dorm. Managable amount of space. Beds are stable and not squeaky at all. Lobby/breakfast/bar area is also a nice place to hang out during the day.

AustriaI stayed in a mixed dorm for about 5 nights in July 2025. The room had a private bathroom, which I shared with my roommates. It mostly wasn't any issue regarding bumping into each other in the bathroom. The room itself is quite spacy, provides a locker and also has an AC, which the guests can regulate. The laundry room offeres two washing machines, a dryer as well as many hanging racks. The washing machine and the dryer are able to be paid by Wechat (as well as the washing machine seems to work with coins as well.) The costs for one washing load comes to 11¥. When you enter the hotel, which was very easy to find caused by providing an accurate adress, you will find the reception on the left. The lobby itself has a Cafe vibe over day and turned to a bar at night (which allowes smoking during this time.). I am a non smoker and was worried about this before, but it actually never was that intense, so even didn't bother. The hotel also offers several trips to hot spots, you might consider. The only down side is, that for most of them you would need to sign up for two people (also possible with other guess). Regarding the service, I definitely can praise Nicole, the receptionist! She is extremly helpful, fun to chat to, even played some Majiang with me in the evening and offers an awesome service, such as the others as well. I seriously recommend staying there! The location is nice, even a bit far away from the metro station (15min. by foot), the service was excellent, room spacy, nice and clean.

United KingdomThe location isn't the best, it's not really that close to much really. A good 45-60 minute walk to Tianfu Square, or a taxi ride away. One recommendation to the hostel would be to offer each guest a map of the local area so they can get their bearings. If you don't speak Chinese, maps on phones are a bit of a nightmare. We struggled a lot with finding things in the local area using AMap. The laundry room smelt of damp quite a lot of the time sadly. It could do with a proper clean!
We enjoyed our stay here. Room was a decent size. Bed was fairly hard but still comfortable. Downstairs lobby area is very nice. We didn't take part in the dumpling making sadly, but it's nice they offer this to guests. Happy hour coffee in the morning was a nice touch!
