The location of the hotel was still a tiny bit away from Guanyinqiao and needed to call a Didi in order to get there. I was kind of wishing it was a walkable distance but this would be the only thing I would nitpick. Also when I was there, the gym facilities was under repair and I was hoping to use it for some down time that I needed to kill.

The staff is very friendly and remembered my room number throughout my stay every time I was at the front desk and required assistance. The breakfast also had a lot of variety which was a nice addition.

The staff was courteous , check in was hassle free. They accepted the international visa card for the payment. the room was cozy and comfortable. Not very far from the airport. There was a strong stench of cigarette smoke in the lobby and in the rooms even though we chose three non-smoking rooms. Other than that, the rooms were clean. We booked the hotel because it came with a gym and pool facilities. However, we were dismayed to find out that they were taken over by another operator and guests were unable to use them. This should have been reflected on Booking.com clearly. There was also renovation happening right above our rooms for 3 consecutive days in the early morning (from 7.30am to 10am). This is despite feedback to reception that the contractor should start work at least after breakfast service is over, when most guests have woken up. Also, guests were not informed that there was going to be renovation, prior to the booking. Again, Booking.com should have made this clear on its website.

Booking.com messed up AGAIN by providing yet another incorrect address for the hotel. This happens VERY often with Booking.com in China. This amongst other negligences on their part is why I will not be using this APP again. This review probably won’t get published, but if it does, I highly recommend this hotel.
