The gym too small but it’s a little problem

As with all the hotels I've stayed in Beijing, the aircon does not seem to work. It was unbearably warm in the night as the aircon was essentially blowing warm air. We were offered a change of room but opted for a standing fan instead due to the hassle of shifting in the night. I am not sure why this is a common issue in Beijing as I've stayed a total of 3 international hotel during my recent visit and all had poor airconditioning. The pool on the 18 floor is rather small. Some of the common facilities look old too, hightime for a new facelift especially because this is Kempinski and the expectations are higher !

The swimming pool area is excellent and the staff at check-in and check-out were extremely efficient, great value for money.

Some furniture is outdated and would be nice to replace. It’s better to ask for a room on a high floor (we lived on 6 and the river view was blocked by the roof of the restaurant)

Good hotel. The hotel is located a minute's walk from the subway, there are many restaurants nearby (within 10 minutes walk) and a shopping center (15 minutes walk). The cleaning was excellent, trash was taken out several times a day, great breakfast, the pool was clean (but you definitely need a cap). Our room was spacious and ergonomic with a good bed

Very often, there is a strong cigarette smell in the corridors which is very unpleasant. The hotel should have a sign at the exit of the metro station indicating where the hotel is although it is not far from it.

We really like the variety of the breakfast. The location is good. It is just a few yards away from the Liang Ma Qiao Metro Station. We had a river view room which was very nice.

The room is too small and the bedside chair too big, causing the curtain not sliding smoothly.

Staff in the breakfast area seemed newly trained— not very experienced. But overall, it didn’t affect our breakfast time. The bathroom and shower room floor can be extremely slippery if it’s wet.

The bed is huge! With a toddler, three of us were able to sleep in the bed comfortably and spaciously. The front desk and bellman were incredibly friendly and kind. They upgraded us to a bigger and newer room. Most important, the reason why we chose this hotel was because there’s kids room and playground. Breakfast was great, a lot of options. The hotel even gave kids robe, amenities, and slippers. Great service overall.

When there were many guests, the staff at the breakfast place were a little slow due to many orders. This needs to improve with the increase of visitors, more staff to be added

i loved the room. I was staying in room 1002. I loved the cleanliness and the upkeep of the room and the gym facilities together with the pool was great. The breakfast had a good variety of dishes and we look forward to another stay there

As usual we chose the Kempinski for our stay in Beijing...since many years. But after the pandemic, the all over experience in Kempinksi is getting worse. Smaller details like dirty dishes in the breakfast room, too many trainees who have no clue what they are doing there, no more German DW channel on TV (only Chinese, French, US and Russian TV) - and that in a former "Germany Island feeling". The attached Paulaner Bräuhaus is getting worse as well...Food was bad, drinks too expensive...the stage for Live music disappeared. Nevertheless, we will come back and give it a try. Many Hotels have to fight with the same problems after Covid...

The tearoom is rather pricey. 70RMB for a latte is a bit steep.

I’ve stayed in a number of hotels in Beijing around the same price point as Kempinski, but this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Beijing.

There's no socket for UK charger. Lack of personal touch for hotels at this level. Limited soft drinks supplied. there's no face pads supplied. No lock on toilet and bathroom, in fact the toilet and bathroom share one door, so if you have two people in one room, one needs toilet and the other needs shower room, one of them will have no door and could feel quite exposed and uncomfortable. Definitely some design faults in the hotel
