Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe studio with river view has the view from the bathroom. The layout of the room is this way. From the pictures it didn't show that the window is in tye bathroom but in the bedroom.

MalaysiaNegative: The only downside was the view from my room. Although the room itself was large, the view was blocked by another building. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’ll book a room with a better view.
Positive: The location is excellent — right opposite the hotel is The Bund, offering beautiful scenery. The decor has a charming mid-century style, and the staff were all very friendly. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom as well.

SingaporeThe train station is not particular near and requires 10-15 min walk.
The location is fantastic, just a stone’s throw away from the Bund and faces the beautiful Pearl TV tower. Also within walking distance from the Yu Garden.

United StatesSince they have the name changed and had a major makeover of the lobby. I was kind of disappointed, don’t get me wrong, the new lobby is more grand and beautiful, it is just not the same as the boutique hotel that I stayed. There were some issues of flushing the toilet in my room and the A/C wasn’t working properly in other room.
I used to stay in the hotel every time when I came to Shanghai before pandemic. Great location with the spectacular view of Pu Dong and the Bund. The cross river ferry is literally at your door steps. The decoration is top notch.

NetherlandsCommunication was poor, having booked one month ahead, we were given the ugliest room looking over roof and windows of other building. Messages were ignored, came early and were advised not to wait in lobby, so we purchased extra room to wait for checkin time, then given ugly room, we moved again next day from family studio for 4 pax to a smaller room for 2 pax. We need to pay extra again for extra bed.. very disappointing !!!!
Location is good, quality of hotel is good but poorly maintained.

ThailandReception staff could be more friendly and helpful. It was difficult to communicate as only a few staff could speak English and the rest seemed unwilling to help because we couldn’t speak Chinese. The metro was a 10-15 minute walk away and the traffic in weekends are bad, The taxi told us to get off 600 meters before the hotel as there was a 20 minute traffic.
Hotel location is good and convenient to walk to the Bund, but it was a busy neighborhood with bad traffic. The room was clean and spacious with fully equipped amenities. House keeping staff was so nice and accommodating even though we were only able to speak little Chinese.

ItalyIt has been an awful experience. Based on what is mentioned on Booking this "hotel" is definitively not a 5 star hotel. It is more a 3 star "hostel". Personnel not nice and helpful. No spaces in the small lobby. No safelock in the room. No room service. A terrible breakfast similar to a fourth-rate canteen. Last but not least a terrible laundy service! What to say more? The only good thing is the location which is very close to the famous Shanghai Bund. Nothing else. Furthermore the price for a so-called "suite" is 300 euros per night for a dirty and small room with a very uncomfortable bed and a noisy air conditioned system. No international TV channels. A real mockery. I won't never come back to this place that ruined my four days in the wonderful Shanghai.
Nothing at all!

United StatesOne of the women who checked us in was not very pleasant . The few times I needed something from the front desk, it felt like I was bothering her and an inconvenience. Responded very rudely when I let her know our kettle machine wasn’t working in our room. Door man however, was very helpful and assisted us.

United KingdomThe room was noisy, at midnight I contacted the desk, someone came up said they couldnt hear it and couldnt speak english so were trying to communicate through phone - at 1230 an engineer arrived and couldnt speak any english, I went to desk and got another room but then it was 1am so got hardly any sleep. We also got stuck in the lift for 10 minutes and staff were unhelpful and rude did not apologise. No staff spoke english, no one asked how our stay was, room was not cleaned well. The location is great but the staff let down the hotel.

United KingdomThe toilet didn’t flush properly, so they placed a bin in the bathroom for used toilet paper—a disgusting solution for a five-star hotel. When questioned, they claimed the pipes were too narrow, causing frequent blockages. Additionally, my friend had paid for me to have a river view but I was given a room facing the back of the building. I also paid for a reservation expecting to combine rooms, only to be told it wasn't possible, and that my room was supposedly better, which it clearly wasn’t.
