The host who is a family was really enthusiast with us. They advised how to visit the town, offer free drinks by check-in, late check-out. The room is clean with all necessary stuffs.

It was a warm and charming cute place owned by a lovely couple. They were very welcoming, helpful and kind. We got welcome gifts and were invited for tea. The lovely landlady, kind landlord and their cute kids are all very welcoming. We felt at home there. The location was very convenient too. The apartment was very clean with all amenities. What’s the best is the excellent hospitality and great service provided.

It needs a lot of improvement.. paint was peeling off the wall along the stairway.. flooring was broken and sinking in parts..

Beautiful setting free from the hustle and bustle of city living .. listening to birds chirping first thing in the morning as opposed to horns blaring, everyone within the neighbourhood, including the hosts were so friendly.. it was truly an amazing experience..

Water pressure could have been a bit stronger.

Located just outside the main area on one of the central canals the property was close to all attractions, main shopping and restaurants but nice and quiet. We relaxed on our balcony over the canal in the afternoon and strolled to the night lit garden which was around the corner. We were contacted on our arrival day and given a phone number for the Didi driver to call so we were met and guided to the hotel and everything was explained and we were given a map and dining recommendations.

The only thing I would say, in the bathroom besides the big lovey mirror was no light for it (just on the shower and outside).

The place was great, as you are in the old town but in a local street, so is not all touristic which made it very nice to me! I was picked up and drop off and helped with my bag and getting a taxi back to the station; which was very nice from the hosts. They also quickly sorted out my ticket you need for the old town and entering the sights. The room is not as the one I saw in the photos here, but was still good, beautiful decorated and with everything you need.

It was in great location in the heart of Tongli. Very clean, very comfy and with a very polite host.

Very long and confusing check in. A few of us had to stay in the rain outside old area alongside the host, trying to understand why such a wait. We were not aware that we had to buy tickets to enter the area where hotel was located. A couple of us were under 60, and another couple over 60. Tickets are half price for over 60s but could not be purchased at the closest gate, so we had to walk to a different gate to buy tickets. Also we stayed 4 nights but entry tickets are valid for 2 days only. This is not a problem, just would have been good to know when booking what to expect.

The hosts were very friendly, helped to bring our luggage across to the hotel - it would have been impossible to roll suitcases across steep bridge and cobblestone street. They also brought us a beautiful fruit platter - really lovely.

The walls of the room were at some spots not painted and it would be good to place a toilet brush in the bathroom. Otherwise nothing to complain about. The public transport was a bit far away, and Tongli itself is like a labyrinth. So it happened a few times that I went on an odyssey that did cost me a lot of time sometimes.

Well the best thing was honestly the fact that my shot picked me up with his bike at the T1 station at the north entrance of Tongli. He helped me buying a ticket for the old town and gave me some information. He ofte needs a translator, but he surely understands some questions in English and is able to answer them sometimes on his own. I liked the room and the view on one of the many channels in Tongli and is was mostly quiet after 11 pm.

The only thing was that our room had a shower curtain that did not reach the floor, so water pooled in the bathroom when having a shower.

They upgraded us to a river view room. Room good size, overlooking the canal, nicely set out, in a very quiet location, but still very central. Very good experience. The owners were also helpful and very friendly.

A very nice hotel in a quiet place but very close to the center of Tongli. Cool location. The room is comfortable, contains all that we need. The host is very hospitable and friendly. When in Tongli, would gladly stay here again.

The location of the homestay is very easy to find. I contacted the shopkeeper in advance and sent me a guide. When I arrived at the subway terminal, I picked us up with a tricycle and helped us sell the tickets to the ancient town, which made our trip very smooth. We booked a riverside viewing room. The room has a very good view. You don't have to go out to see the small bridge flowing water.
