Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We liked the food that they offered at the hotel and also the kindness of the hotel managers was much appreciated. Also, there was a dog that I really liked that was one of the highlights of my trip.

ChinaCozy little hotel with beautiful mountain views and just a 5-minute walk from the river. The friendly and helpful staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Guests can enjoy a free bike rental to explore the area, and the tasty breakfast includes two options—Chinese (noodles, vegetables, boiled egg) or Western (toast, fried eggs, jam)—plus coffee and fruit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with well-stocked bathrooms, and there’s even a washing machine and dryer for convenience. Dinner at the hotel is delicious, and there are also plenty of nearby restaurants and cafés within walking distance. Though close to the 20rmb spot, the hotel stays quiet and relaxing, away from the crowds. Highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable stay!

United KingdomVery friendly and hospitable, felt very well looked after and able to relax. Nice rooms with views and a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Xingping. Good simple, homely food. We were also given good advice about exploring the area.

Hong KongNothing.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (using translation devices to communicate). Great location - it's on a quiet road so the only noise is birds, cicadas etc. A few minutes' walk to the river. About 50 minutes' walk to Xingping village but it was very easy to get there and back using Didi. Very convenient for Yangshuo station and for bamboo rafting on the Li river. Delicious breakfast - I had the option of Guilin noodle soup, egg, sweet potato, corn and fresh fruit. Our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.

We really loved our stay here at Leisure Courtyard where Lina and the other staff really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay, they were so friendly and there is such a homely feeling about this hotel! The view from the balcony was stunning and the short cycle into town was an idyllic way to get about. Lina cooked us the most delicious food every evening. We actually stayed 5 nights in total in the end. Thank you all so much for the memories!

ItalyThis place is one of those things that makes travelling worth it: The structure is really nice, our room was big, super clean, with an amazing view on the mountains. The location is perfect for exploring the area and for relaxing, far enough from the chaos of the small town but really close to the most scenographic and iconic section of the Li River. But the thing that really makes the difference was the staff: both the owner and the ladies were so caring and kind. They supported us in organizing some of the excursions and they also provided us with a very helpful offline translator to be used for communication with them and other people outside the house. Moreover they cook amazing food, so that we decided to eat there for all our meals! We decided to have the Chinese breakfast (as we love to live as the locals wherever we go), but they were ready to prepare us a continental one. They don’t speak English but they really make everything they can for helping you out and make you feel at home. We will take with us very good memories of the afternoon tea we had with the owner talking about their traditions and comparing our way of preparing tea and coffee :) I hope this place and these people will always stays as authentic as it they are right now

RussiaThe location is perfect: not far from Yangshuo railway station, lovely view from window, quietly. The great service: hosts promptly answer questions before and after check-in, use translator, which simplifies the dialogue, interesting tasty breakfast. The bed is really king size and very comfortable.

MaltaEverything was great about this stay, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't speak Chinese. The language barrier was real, as they don't speak a work of English and only use translator machines which often don't even get the words depending on your accent. It was very frustrating trying to communicate without success and the location is a bit far from the centre, so you need good communication to be able to travel, as taxis don't come often due to the remote location. Breakfast choices were also limited, and you cannot have dinner/lunch unless you tell them way in advance, and that was really unconvenient since it's far from any restaurants and it's very uncomfortable to go out at night because of the huge mosquitos.
The view from the room was amazing and the room was very big and clean.

GermanyThe view of the mountains from the balcony is gorgeous, the hotel is located around 2km away from the city center, which makes it quiet compared to the town. The owners lend us bicycles, very practical to get around. Overall the staff was super friendly and eager to help, I can only recommend!

Truly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The views is truly one a kind. Even better, the owner and the staff are kind, caring and will do anything to help you. To put this In context, they wrote me a detailed plan of things to see, made me the best dinner, shared a lot of laughter and conversation with them and to top of it, I was leaving to the railway station for 7am and they got up to make me breakfast to take with me. This is one of a kind place to stay in. I will most certainly come back again!!!

They were very helpful in organizing our visits and also provided an offline translator to use during our stay. Would definitly stay with them again! (The chinese breakfast is awesome)

United KingdomYou can tell Lina and her husband have put all their heart in this hotel. Every corner is inspired in the Chinese culture. The place is super zen, clean, manicured garden with amazing relaxing music. I extended one more night because of the hotel, service and great location. Bikes are super handy to go out for dinner etc. I will miss them both! Thank you so much!
I can’t explain how welcomed I’ve felt in this hotel. The owners are the sweetest, attentive, diligent and caring people you’d find around here. They helped me with everything. They went above and beyond of any of my expectations, helping me with tours, transport, etc etc.

Hong KongThe only minor thing was that when we tried to fill the bathtub in the suite with water, the water was not getting warm enough - so then we gave up trying to fill it after some time.
The junior suite is amazing, spacious and comfortable. The hosts are very helpful, friendly and nice. They made special vegetarian breakfast for us as well (Guilin rice noodles with egg) and dropped us to the Yangshuo station instead of us taking a Didi. The view from the junior suite is beautiful, and the music the hosts played on our day of arrival lent a beautiful mystical ambience to the courtyard area. 10 mins away by car to the Old/Ancient Town markets/restaurant area.

PolandIt is a wonderful place with a beautiful view of the mountains. The apartment is clean, spacious and additionally has a terrace with the best view. The apartment has cosmetics, air conditioning / heating, bathrobes. We spent Chinese New Year there. The owners invited us first for a delicious traditional Chinese dinner, and in the evening for dinner. The real hostess / owner taught us how to make dapling, which we all ate together. Additionally, we set off fireworks together. Early in the morning we had free transport to the train station, and the owners of the additions prepared us a breakfast to go. We regret that we could only stay there one night. When we come back, it will be only there. Thank you for everything.

CanadaThe view of the mountain range was gorgeous. We got a great view of the 9 horse mountains view. The room was clean and furnished with purpose. Authentically Guilin with a touch of modern aesthetic. Our family room had Doraemon bedding theme (our daughter loved it). The water pressure in the shower was consistently strong. The water heated almost instantly. The beds had the perfect firmness and it was quiet at night which made it a dream for a good night sleep. We were very close to the viewpoint 20RMB bill for great photos. The individual in room climate control was very responsive. The hot breakfast was so yummy and plentiful Guilin noodle soup (pickled vegetables, shitake, sliced pork, roasted peanuts), corn on the cob, boiled eggs, tea and hot water to drink. The decor was on theme throughout the hotel. The friendly service/hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel was also steps away from the river, where we were able to see boats and bamboo rafts.

ItalyCommunicating especially at the beginning is not easy. And I had problems with the hot water in the shower too.
The couple that rules the hotel is friendly and kind. And also the location is nice, I think it is much better there, in touch with nature, detached from the village and near the river, than in town wich s very chaotic

AustraliaThe view from our mountain view room wasn't that great (towards the back of the property) We missed breakfast on our 3rd morning die to an early train, it would have been nice to get a couple of bananas and boiled eggs for example to take to the station with us
This place is run by a lovely family who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They have a translation device which makes communication super easy, you can even borrow the device when you go out exploring. We also hired a scooter one day and because of heavy rain one afternoon we asked if there was any chance we could eat in and they cooked us the most amazing meal. Breakfast was great, too. One morning we had a local noodle dish with fruit, boiled egg, corn, sweet potato and sticky rice parcels. The second morning we had toast, fried eggs and fruit. unfortunately on the 3rd day we had to depart early before the 8 o'clock breakfast. They also offer to either pick you up or drop you off at the train station for free if you stay for 2 or more nights. There is also a washing machine for guests to use which was great. It's approx. 40 min walk to town which we enjoyed. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Daily fresh towels and also slippers and bathrobes provided.
