Mosquitos :(

Me and my family enjoyed staying at Hotel Cogollo very much. The Hotel is beautifully built, the terrace with a mirador and a reading corner is absolutely fantastic. The staff is kind, the breakfast is excellent and is served in a private terrace that belongs to the room. The open-air rooms, which are very independent and private at the same time, are definitely an architectural piece. My children loved the swimming pool.

It needs a Television. We thought facility had a swimming pool.

Our room had a far too small mosquito net that didn’t cover us so the first night sleep was hard. Our room had only couple of electric points so it was not possible to charge phones, have a side lamp and a fan on at the same time. The jacuzzi wasn’t working.

Good quiet location, nice traditional buildings, awesome reading terrace to spend a lazy afternoon on a hammock with great views. Lovely and helpful staff.

It’s off the city center which makes it perfect for a quiet stay, the rooster and maybe a barking dog will wake u up, but that’s normal. The rooms are cute and the bathroom was so cool w a shower with open ceiling to the outside, feels like you are showering in nature. Each room has an outside area to eat at with a table and chairs.

Our room smelled slightly musty. We appear to have been placed in a triple instead of our requested double. The room was not even included on the tariff sheet. We were also charged 60,000 COP in addition to the final posted Booking.com rate. The safe was broken, and the padlock/doors was certainly not very secure. The "pool" was empty upon arrival, but filled up the following day. No hand towel or bathmat provided.

Great staff, nice breakfast. The two ladies were sweet.

The description is not accurate. The room is not 45 sq m - more like 12-14 (which it says in a different place). There was no dining area for the room - it’s a shared space. There is no minibar. No views from our room. The bathroom is open to bugs (private though) and there is earth and building detritus in the shower area (decorative?). Weird sink tap stuck in the wall. No fan in the room. Quite a few mosquitoes even though netting is provided. The curtain can’t be opened unless rolled sideways and wedged in the window. Oh and we found a lovely panoramic sitting area with hammocks on the last day - at the back- we thought it was a building site…

Staff were fantastic. Location is great. Breakfast is very good. Shower was hot.

The only downside was that the second bed in our room did not have a mosquito net.

The location was perfect! Walkable to everything in Barichara, but out of the fray. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower (with hot water no less!). Delfina was extremely kind and made a very good breakfast. The rooms were a bit rustic and open to the outside, but this wasn't really a problem for us. The hotel was very charming. Would stay again!

The wifi didn't work in our room, but I would stay here again.

The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and slightly personalized. The location was uphill, but it was a beautiful walk up.

You could hear the people in the room next to us and No wifi in the rooms.

We should have paid a little more for a better room. We were next to the pool and our room seemed very damp and occasionally had a sewage smell.

Good breakfast, beautiful property, enjoyable communal areas, friendly staff, quiet.
