The air conditioning was really cold so it would have been nice to have a blanket, and more vegetarian options in the restaurant would be good. Also, when we stayed at Viajero in Salento, they gave us a wristband at the end of our stay and told us we would get 10% off if we stayed at another Viajero by showing them the wristband. I specifically asked if there was anything we needed to do when booking to get the discount and was told no. However, Viajero San Andres refused to acknowledge the discount because we had booked through Booking.com rather than their website.

The location was central but not the greatest. If I went back I would choose something closer to the beach area. The rooms were good but very basic. One thing I thought was weird was in our room there were not hooks on the wall. There was a big open wall with nothing on it. Why not put hooks there? Every other Viajero I have stayed in has hooks on the wall. It is a simple thing, but very essential and handy when you are staying in a mixed dorm room.

This was a basic hostel but had everything you could need. Made up of a few levels, and a nice rooftop bar area with windows and a nice view.

No toiletseat. Problem with the air condition…extremely cold the first days. Breakfast is not worth the money, you don’t get much value for it. I wouldn’t recommend getting it, better to eat outside.

Everything was very good at the Viajero. The hostel is very clean and also well situated. I especially enjoyed the rooftop with Enrique’s burgers and Tristan at the bar. The activities were perfect too, Marley always here to help and organize and Juliana always full of energy to motivate everybody to do something together!

The wifi at the cowork was not really working. And somedays the reggaeton music coming from the reception was too loud, making impossible to work there.

The hostel is amazing, the Staff is outstanding, Juliana, Marlon and the front desk (Selene i think?) were out of the world of good. This hostel was the place Ive met people im gonna be connected for me whole life.

Accoustic in the hostel makes you hear people talking 15/20 meters away even with the door closed. Probably a door between common spaces and the hallways will work. Kitchen in common places can improve.

The best part of Viajero Hostel in San Andres is their staff... Juliana is a great tour guide and you get first hand information of the activities in the Island... Always in a good mood.. Even when we were in other cities asking for advice...Amazing Norelis was always checking for our food alergies and our first smile of the day was from her while she asked how we wanted our eggs for breakfast. Reception was very kind all the time.. Ximena and Kelita are very prefessional and gave us the best post checkout service. (First time in my travels I have such helpful people) Loved the space to take a shower after checkout... Thats really good!!

Whilst the staff were generally really friendly, most of them weren’t really able to help much in terms of tours and visiting the tourist spots. Booking.com posted a review from my account that I did not write, and gave a rating of 10/10. This review was clearly AI-generated and was very similar to a lot of the other ratings I have seen for this hostel.

I struggled with the heat sometimes, so having a small fan available to put in the room or even a tiny personal fan would have helped a lot. The AC was great, but sometimes I could have used just a little boost. Same in the room where they hold events/breakfast, if there were a couple oscillating fans in the space, it would have been a bit more comfortable. Some mornings, the windows were closed with the ceiling fans off, and I was roasting lol. Not complaining, since the weather is a big reason we visited! Just struggled to adjust to the heat a couple times.

Loved the sense of community the staff create among fellow travelers. This made the trip more fun and social. Excellent value for the price, and good location. Had a nice private room to share with my partner and also had access to social activities and opportunities to make friends. The access they provide not just to hold your luggage after checkout but the fact that they provide access to showers when you pick up your bags was incredible! This allowed us to do a full-day beach tour on the day we checked out, grab our bags, take a quick shower, and fly out in the evening--essentially adding a full day to our trip. I'm really grateful for this service.

Just our shower drain was blocked, and our toilet was running witch I forgot to tell them so that they can fix it. But apart from that everything was good.

Staff were awesome, always smiling and welcoming hats off to them at the front desk both day and night shift, the cleaners who are always smiling greeting me and the the guys at the bar and my girl at the restaurant who welcomed me with excitement on my first night and made me feel at home. They all added to my experience from helping me get a vehicle to tour the island to telling me what local dishes to try.

The location and the staff. Six floors with at the top a good ambience to have party. No hot water, but it’s not a problem and it’s a thing that you have to cope with because it’s like this in all the island.

The room was big enough to have some furniture and it didn't. It could have at least some shelves to put the clothes on once you get them out of your suitcase. It would also be good to have some hangers on the walls.

My stay at El Viajero was great! The room was comfy, but the best part was the staff there! Always ready to help, and with a great and positive attitude! Specially Adria and Xime! Thanks for always answering all my questions!
