The hotel needs to sort out the cost of the parking. It is not clear and wrong as advertised on Booking. I paid when we arrived and then was asked to pay more when we left and I still don't know why as the staff could not explain to me such that I could understand. It was a principle thing for me.

We had an excellent stay here. We enjoyed everything and the hotel suited us perfectly - super room, plenty of space, shower was good, breakfast fine though more coffee would have been good especially in Colombia! Parking right next door.

Lovely hotel with a colonial feel (wooden floors, balcony etc). Very well located near the city center in a reasonably quite street (some trafic noise), close to restaurants etc. Breakfast was OK.

I was in room 204. The bed was hard and uneven. WiFi was weak from this room. Also, the bathroom for the room upstairs was directly above, and you can hear *everything*.

Hotel is decorated nicely. Lovely (small) balcony. I had the large triple room which was nice and spacious (nice small view balcony). Breakfast good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good wifi, hot water, security. Good location, 5 min walk to center and next to the famous bridge. Great value for the money, highly recommend.

If I have to mention something with room for improvement I would change the super sized beds to a regular king size beds to avoid the partition between mattresses. It becomes a little uncomfortable at times.

The best ever. Starting with location, then the staff. Walter was incredible, always willing to assist with a great smile. I've traveled a lot and it's hard to exceed my expectations, but this time La Herrería Colonial did. 5 stars for sure.

Ever wanted to stay in a lovely colonial house without breaking the bank? Well, then this hotel is for you! Located right in the heart of Popayán gorgeous historic quarter, I enjoyed staying in this nice, lowkey property. From the start, everything hit the right notes. For example, the hotel accommodated an early check-in. My room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. And I was able to park my car in the quiet cul-de-sac right next to the hotel. The main sights in town are all within walking distance of the hotel, as are the town's top restaurants.

By the standards of budget travel, it is a luxury. A spacious, comfortable room in style, in a historic building, in the historic center of a beautiful city. Very helpful staff, English spoken. I would stay longer if I could. Nice experience altogether.

Breakfast room slightly odd, but food was good if the same Colombia egg-based fare. Some noise from the street but did not go on late. Take guidance from the staff about where is safe to walk at night as the hotel.
