Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe walk out is pretty intense! Not really a negative, just something to be aware of. We could only stay one night, but would recommend 2 so you don't have 2 days of sweaty (very sweaty!) hikes in and out. The food- unfortunately myself and few others I met from another group had stomach issues the next day. And all we had all only eaten at the ecologdge.
Great location. Could hear the sea waves from your room. Amazing cabana. We had the family one and we felt so lucky to have so much space, with rocking chairs on the balcony looking out the sea, hammocks under the cabana to relax and our own (very nice) toilet under the cabana. Sociable dinners as you can choose to sit at a large communal table (or smaller ones if your not feeling sociable).

United KingdomWith the understanding that it's a very off grid place, the food was not particularly good and there are no plugs to charge mobile devices. The WiFi was great but only on for a few hours during the day. Overall the prices are really high for what you get but due to a lack of better options this is the best place around.
Best option for staying in Tayrona Park with comfortable beds, shower and WiFi albeit at certain times. Sleeping on the beach and watching the sunrise is amazing and the staff are generally nice.

GermanyThe hike was a bit challenging. Do not forget mosquito repellen.
I truly enjoyed my time there. The landscape, nature as well as atmosphere were very enjoyable and peaceful. The location is remote, but the hike was fun. The food provided by the restaurant was delicious and pretty traditional Colombian with a fair price. The staff was able to speak English and provided me with a lot of useful information. The beach was beautiful but unfortunately not swimmable. Our bungalow was clean and everything was functional as described in the listing. The wifi worked 3 times per day, 1-2 hours each time, and for us it was perfect, since who wants to use wifi all the time at such a nice location anyway?

United States of AmericaIt’s true, it’s not the best swimming because of the dangerous waves. But you can still cool off safely
The location is stunning! And the people were laid back, and food was good.

CanadaHaving to pay half upfront, through PayPal, was a pain. It takes over a week for CAD funds to load onto my PayPal so it was a timely process. I wish this could all be done through Booking. Facilities are basic, as to be expected. The bathroom was on the bottom part of the bungalow which made for a more adventurous midnight pee.
Really cool experience hiking into Playa Brava and sleeping by the beach. Although I’m sure the hammocks were a unique experience, having the bungalow PLUS a hammock offered a few more conveniences (i.e. privacy, a bathroom, and your own beach chairs). We stored our luggage near the Calabazo entrance and hiked the entire way (if you like to hike, it’s not that bad, just hot). This entrance was SO much quieter and we loved it. The next day we hiked 2hrs to the more popular beaches and exited though El Zanio. Again, this way was so much quieter and more enjoyable that just doing El Zanio and the more well known spots.

NetherlandsIt’s a campsite, so it attracts a lot of different people. Around 20 people slept in hangmats. That “community vibe” was not really what I was personally looking for, and because dinnertime is so limited (1830-1930) it’s something that is almost hard to avoid. (Long dinner tables and a few 2,3 and 4 pax tables) But I guess that is taste. They make it quite hard to make a reservation. You need to make a down payment with banktransfer or PayPal. My first reservation was immediately canceled after I was facing problems with my creditcard due to another booking. I don’t understand why they make it so hard for the guests, for me personally this created a less welcoming feeling, it’s not how I like to start. If they choose the non refundable option on booking, they are also assured that people will come I guess, because the place itself is magical.
Nice location, idyllic place. Facilities in the bungalow are perfect and cleaniness was good. The hike is doable, I hiked from el zaino entrance, which was 4,5 hours. The road to the campsite is a climb, but roads were all very clear, it was not that heavy as I was expecting after reading other reviews, but this was not my first hike.

NetherlandsBit overpriced looking at value for money. It was our most expensive stay in Colombia.
Most beautiful remote spot in Tayrona park. We slept one night in the hammocks and one night in the cabins. They were building the showers in the other cabins as well, they were very clean and pretty, which was very convenient.

United KingdomBeware for a difficult walk out of this accommodation, we decided to try and avoid the steep incline of the way we came in so went from Playa Brava to San Juan and out of the park that way as we had been told it would be less steep. It was still a hell of a walk approx 14km of rocky paths in the heat and humidity. There are places to stop and get drinks etc and it was nice to see Playa San Juan as it was very beautiful, just extremely touristy!
We stayed in one of the cabanas which was a great experience and the location was beautiful, so relaxing! Everything was cleaned to a high standard and the bathroom was regularly cleaned also. We had lounge chairs and our own hammock. The facilities are basic and there wasn’t a plug in the room (only at reception) so make sure you bring a power bank! We enjoyed the walk down however it is very very humid and steep so expect to sweat, we used the mototaxi from Calabazo entrance for the first bit but it’s still a decent 1.5-2hour walk after that.

United States of AmericaThe meals were okay - not the best, but okay. I didn't realize the ocean is not safe to swim in at this beach. I may have changed my plans had I known that, so it's good to know in advance. It's a pretty beach with very few people, so you will have peace and quiet. If you plan to enter in one way and out the other entrance of the park definitely do not enter Zaino because the hike is MUCH more grueling that direction. Enter Calabazo. Apparently there are two trails to the play brava from calabazo - one that is easier. I would have liked to know guidance in advance - so ask around and make sure you get on the right trail.
I stayed in one of the cabanas. I wish I had booked two nights instead of one because it took me hours to hike there and I didn't really get to spend time there to enjoy the place. It is quiet and relaxing - also a waterfall nearby you can walk to if you have time. Because it's so hot, you will want to leave early to hike in/out. There were 4 single dorm style beds and one large probably queen bed in this cabana. All had mosquito nets for the sandflies. Hammocks and private bathroom. The lodging was nice.

United States of AmericaYou cannot swim at this beach, but this is of course not the hotel’s fault. I would not recommend this place if you want to go there to swim.
The glamping was amazing, one could wake up and see the sea from the bed. Food was good and well organized. The location is amazing.
