Nothing wrong but just to note: I had a hard time finding the front door. I’ve included a photo of it for others. There is a bell to ring. The parking is a five minute walk from the hotel so park temporarily near the hotel to unload. Someone will guide you to park after.

This property is absolutely lovely. The bed! So comfortable! Our room was stunning and spacious. Having the pool surrounded by the beautiful garden was such a nice relief. The breakfast was varied and everything was delicious. The staff who keep the front desk are so nice and helpful, especially Catherine. It truly felt like a home away from home. And town itself is a very special experience.

We were at the end of our Colombian 3week roadtrip and kind of tired already. When we got to the Mompax, we were instantly amazed by this historical city. Magical. The hotel itself was extraordinary. The staff was super helpful and carried all our luggage from the car to the hotel. The pool had warm water and our kids swam in the evening and morning. We booked 2 rooms and they both were so stylish. Really felt inspired by this place. Also really safe with kids, because the street in front of the hotel is for pedestrians only. Really sad, we didnt get to spend more nights there. Mompox + San Rafael hotel = perfection! Highly recommend!

Breakfast options are reduced, so if you spend more than a few nights at the hotel you might wanna have some extra options. Shampoo, conditioner & body soap containers are cute but not very practical 😅. But this are just minor things, overall great place.

The hotel is beautiful, perfect for working remotely or a getaway. The room was big and nicely decorated. Bed was super comfy. There was hot water in the shower. There was always fresh fruit with breakfast. Gardens were so beautiful too.

I took the hotel for the pool but it is too small to swim in. The hot water was not always available

The location was directly on the river but a short walk away from the busiest area of the historic streets. the room was comfortably furnished and well air-conditioned with a nice bathroom. I understand the property is only 4 years old and reflects a very sensitive restoration project. breakfast was good and Maria was the greatest!

Wifi was not working on our bedroom. The town is extremely hot but they had no hot water which is not nice if your body had adjusted to the AC temperature before taking a shower or you want to take a shower at night when temperature drops a bit. No towels in the pool area.

The architecture of the building which preserves the style of the place. The large common areas with living rooms, library garden and patio with the pool and trees! Very well located you can see the river from the main living room.

Knowing that this is supposed to be more on the high end I was expecting a better service in terms of welcoming. There was no welcome drink, no information about the area, guide or activity recommended. Also in our last day, we had to leave early and ask if it was possible to get a small breakfast packed and what was offer was a bit disappointing (a pack of cracker and a apple). We also run out of hot water the first day. None of this tai ted our stay and we still enjoy it but I would have expected a bit more from a hotel of that price range for the area.

The location was great and the house is beautiful. We were able to enjoy the pool until late, the place is really relaxing and peaceful. Perfect to relax.

i was there for a week. there is not hot water for the tub (which honestly what’s the point in getting one of there is no hot water). the guy in the afternoon at the front desk is always frowning and doesn’t even say hello. the AC didn’t work a couple of times and one should be warned about the awful roads getting to Mompox. there was a large party staying at the hotel who was very rude and loud. Perhaps a quiet after 10 pm sign would be appropriate.

property has top notch location. Mary is a wonderful chef. Shane at front desk is incredibly welcoming and gives great advice

There was only one thing I didn't like about the hotel and only thing was the water pressure let's say it was less than to be desired.

The hotel was beautiful the beds comfortable the air conditioning in the room was great the room was big with high ceiling and the bathroom was very modernized and looked just like the photos. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the location right on the river.
