Ermoupoli, Greece

Friendly & helpful staff, room has all the essentials for a two night stay. Breakfast was nice with coffee, yogurt, cereal, juices and some pastries. I actually thought the pictures were more outdated than the actual facility- so I was pleasantly surprised. I can tell our room was freshly painted beige with seemingly new comforters I didn’t see online. We picked this hotel as it was very close to the port & restaurants/shops for a short visit. If Bathroom was a tight squeeze for us as larger people- but as expected for Greece. If you chose this hotel, please note you can get there about three different ways from the port with side streets. We used the stairs with our luggage, but quickly found a better alternate route for carrying our big suitcases.

Evi was an excellent host for our four night stay. She was always accessible & eager to reply through WhatsApp to help us with questions and recommendations. The apartment was spacious, located only a few “blocks” away from a beach & little supermarkets. About 10-15 minutes walk to then port. While it’s close to the port, the location is also close to where several locals live, a more quiet part of town where you feel like you’re in a neighborhood. I loved that the air conditioning stayed on while we left the room, unlike many other Greek hotels where the key is required and you come back to a room that feels like a sauna.

The location was not so easy to find because Google maps was directing us at the back side of the accommodation, but we managed to reach out via phone , so we figured out where we could find the kind lady who welcomed us. The room was pretty good , there was some free coffee and sweets which was really great. Really close to the beach

It was really noisy from outside and the blinds were not functioning.
Hydra, Greece
Positive section of review
Comfortable and prepared and cozy for us! We had everything we needed and more. Vaso greeted us at the port, helped us book mules for our luggage, and was always available and so sweet and helpful.
Negative section of review
The fact of the matter is that Hydra is a car-less, bike-less island and this property is very high on the hill. The cobblestone road to get there is completely safe, legit, marked, and easy to follow. But it is slippery, by nature of it being old and worn and beautiful! So it is a somewhat stressful trek up and down, even though it is as feasible as it possibly could be.
Athens, Greece
Positive section of review
The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the Acropolis (Museum+sites). It is nicely renovated. The room had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The staff were kind and helpful.
Negative section of review
The access to the hotel is through kind of a back alley which feels pretty seedy - garbage cans, sex shops etc. It's still super close to all of the central attractions.

Athens, Greece
Positive section of review
I chose the hotel because of it's rooftop restaurant (all day dining) and its view of the Acropolis. being in. the Plakka was also convenient.
Negative section of review
The room was TINY and very outdated. My only window looked into another room about 4 feet away. The elevator was often not working.

Location, roomy accommodations

Two minor things: some type of shelf or stand in the shower, something to place soap and shampoo on while bathing, everything on the ground is unnecessary. The towel rack is a menace, it sticks out into bathroom space and can easily hurt someone. Mounted wall rack is safer.
