Being adjacent to beautiful OosterPark, the hotel presents like a charming manor house with updated interior. The restaurant serves delicious food with great service in lovely setting.

The gray translucent built in bathrooms are so poorly designed and annoying. 1) The design allows little to no privacy—auditory or visual. 2) If you turn on either bathroom light in middle of night, the whole bedroom gets significantly lighter and can (and did) wake up the other guest. 3) There is no place to set toiletries in shower except on floor, which doesn’t feel sanitary. And, for seniors or those with cranky backs or sore knees, that unfortunately means bending over to get your toiletries and aggravating those aches & pains. 4) The poor shower floor design means water spills out into bathroom floor. That’s a safety hazard for slipping. Then guests use regular towels to mop up, which negates any environmental savings on reusing towels. If I were queen for a day at Hotel Arena, the bathrooms would be top of my priority list to upgrade.

The staff is friendly, helpful and competent. They were the most valuable asset. The computer assisted blinds, curtains, tv etc. was a novelty.

The room was poorly designed for comfort. No place to hang up clothes or put anything down. Shelving very limited. Wastebasket was tiny and overflowed. More privacy in toilet would be preferable. Hallway outside rooms was dingy.

Dirty and very uncomfortable. Very old facilities. Was written king size and queen size beds in triple room and received sofa bed :)
