Liked the privacy and quietness of the stand alone superior room. Hotel grounds were beautiful with lush green plants everywhere. The view of the arenal volcano was also amazing

The only thing I can think of would be to have a separate adults only pool. There were a lot of kids when we were there, and they were running around jumping in all of the pools and hot springs.

Loved our experience with Los Lagos! The room was big,. We are a family of 4 with boy/girl teens who need separate beds and the removable trundles were perfect. The buffet was excellent, and all the staff was so kind and helpful. We felt very safe at Los Lagos. The property is huge, I don’t think we saw it all. There is plenty to do right at the resort like horse riding, walking trails and ziplining, and it is in a great location to the NP, Mistico, etc. The pools and hot springs were nice varied temperatures.

We had a car so it was fine for us, but maybe golf carts or shuttles that run the resort periodically so people don’t have to walk as far ( if they aren’t able, etc)

Superb buffet breakfast spread. Great location. Huge choice of pools and thermal pools. Big spacious family rooms. Nice that they had a shuttle bus to get around the resort as it is massive.

Great location for all the local activities, high levels of service from all staff, great breakfasts and dinner. Large room with comfy beds, big enough for our family of four. Fantastic hot springs on site, didn’t feel too busy.

There was a step to get in to the bathtub. This could be dangerous. A comfortable chair or two in the room would be nice.

Property is meant to be walked, but walking wasn't possible for this 63 year old; it's way too hilly and difficult to get anywhere on foot from our rooms' location. If I'd known I would have requested rooms closer to the pools. I also didn't like when I went for my horseback ride and they weren't expecting me. I had to return to my room to search for my receipt showing I'd paid. Couldn't find it, big kerfluffle, lots of uncertainty, embarrassment, delay of activity for me and everyone. One poorly trained employee nearly ruined our stay. And I didn't like the density of guests enjoying the pools. I was a guest of the resort and could never find an empty chair near the pool, I think because they were all occupied by people there on day passes. Not cool.

room was very nice; comfortable. We did lose electricity the night we stayed - took about 15 minutes to restore, after my cpap had stopped working and woken me up. I would expect a resort of this size to have back up generators.

beautiful property. highly recommend it. beautiful grounds. view on the arenal in the background is just gorgeous. trails, wild life. 1 small and 1 long slide and multiple pools and hot springs on the property. bar menu is very good and prices are reasonable. breakfast was included and had decent options. fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes usual stuff. rooms were quite spacious which was great. 10 minutes drive to town with a lot of options for restaurants bars etc. overall very happy with the hotel. would strongly recommend it.
