Hotel looks a bit tired..our balconies faced the main road and was very dusty..nothing to hang wet swimwear on. Sometimes eating at the hotel was a bit do it yourself with the younger staff not knowing what they should be doing.

Marriane, the receptionist, is a very important staff for the hotel as she has excellent communication skills, is friendly and helpful in every way.

The breakfast could have been a bit more varied and we’d have liked some healthy sourdough bread rather than the sliced bread they had.

There was some construction work happening in front of the hotel so the main road was all dusty and muddy but that was about it.

We visited at the end of January because we wanted a quiet place on the beach with nice weather. (Also I really wanted to see the flamingos on the lake. And I did!) The hotel is very cosy, right on the beach. Our room had a wonderful view. Not much to do around if you re not a fan of jogging or just hanging at the beach but you rent a car or take the bus from right in front of the hotel you can get to the city centre relatively quickly. Nice meal plan for half board and the staff were very nice and friendly too.

Unfortunately there were major road works outside which spoilt the location and there was only BBC World news on the TV. Being out of season the pool was freezing but it was nice to lie around it on a warm day.

Liked the location right on the beach and the hotel had an excellent gym.

The room we were first allocated was not cleaned very well, especially the shower and had a couple of defects. I pointed this out at the desk along with another couple of smaller issues (light bulb not working, sink plug broken, no chair at dressing table) and was told to come back the following morning after breakfast and they could allocated us with better accommodation. Car parking should be improved. Car parks are accessed via barriers and you have to wait for staff to open each time for entry and exit. Often you have to get out of the car and go back to reception to ask them to open the barrier. The hotel is only accessed by crossing uneven ground as there are major road works which are ongoing and have been for the past six months.

Excellent breakfast, both hot and cold and good selections/options. Beach location is perfect. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Maryianna. The newly allocated room (after complaint) was very spacious inside with two balconies and with a very large bathroom but still a couple of issues. We were happy with the new room.

Major road works , so inland rooms are noisy. Poor soundproofing. Maintenance could be improoved.

The girl at the reception at the entrance with red hair. She is the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. She would look at us in the eyes while we would say good morning or goodbye but wouldn’t respond. And juste the way she would look at us. I just hope it has nothing to do with our skin color
