The room looks better on photos than in real.

Service was really good. Localisation is great if you come to Prague by car and want use public transport - underground is about 5 minutes from hotel by walk.

The bathroom is extremely small. The WC booth is separate from the toilet (across the hall, unpleasant fact...) and also very small. Happily, I'm a thin guy.

Very close to the Metro Line Network of Prague, quick acces to downtown. Parking places available for free (great for me!)

My stay was just for one night and I did not notice any serious disadvantages. It would be great to provide rooms with electric kettles. Breakfast was tasty but with limited choice: just bread, cheese, meat products, eggs, jam, honey and cornflakes.

Very good location close to metro station, there is also supermarket Albert. It takes about max 20 minutes to get to the centre of Prague. First thing I noticed was the cleanliness. Lady at the reception spoke perfect English and gave me all the information needed. As I arrived at the morning it was possible to have extra breakfast at reasonable price. Room and sanitary facilities rather small but for such a short stay it was ok. The surrounding of the Hotel is quiet and peaceful - no noise from outside. Comfortable bed and many international channels at TV.

    - Breakfast very limited and poor quality. Juices were not drinkable, no fresh vegetables or warm dishes. Customers were bringing there own tomatoes or food. - There is no private parking at the property so you need a little luck to find a free place in front of the hotel as it is situated in a residential area with flats.

Very distrusting reception. Instead I stayed 4 nights and I wanted to pay cash he activated after the first night my credit card. Horrible breakfast with old bread. Orange chuice with very much water. Toaster produces black toasts. When I fechted koffee the woman took away my tableware even I set directly beneath the buffet. So somebody else wanted to take my place. My room was mostly not cleaned.

Sound isolation could be improved, but 90% of the time we were there the hotel was extremely quiet.

The location of the hotel is good, in a quiet area, so you can expect a good nights rest without the bustle of the city centre. The metro station Skalka is a few minutes walk away; the tram station as well. You can buy public transportation tickets right at the reception desk. The staff is very friendly and nice. Breakfast was not too versatile, but was abundant in quantity, and good. The rooms are modestly decorated, but very clean. The maids bring clean towels everyday, and clean the bathroom. There are many parking spots right in front of the hotel. Free wi-fi (7Gb for 7 days at 2mbps speed), but you can also buy premium internet with no limitations (2€ per day). We had a nice time at Hotel Astra, and will come again when in town.

The one thing the room was lacking was definitely the fridge. And I strongly recommend adding free Wi-Fi access, not the paid one from 1 hour. Free Internet matters nowadays and it should be done in Astra Hotel, even at a cost of slightly higher prices (up to 5 euro per night). Adding few self-adhesive things to prevent the beds from sliding away from each other would be good solution, too.

There was free parking, but there werent many spaces. People were parking along the already narrow street. Check out is at noon however, the cleaning lady came knocking on my door at 0900 trying to clean the room. The waitress at the restaurant for dinner was very rude.

you could purchase metro passes from the front desk. The metro was about a 5 minute walk away and the lady at the desk told me exactly which stops to get off at to sight see. The people at the front desk spoke very good English. The rooms are nicer on the inside than they look like they'll be from the outside. it's a good place to get some sleep if you don't plan on spending a lot of your trip in the hotel room.
