Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe first day we were greeted in the reception by a rather unpleasant lady. She was not having a good day but it was not our fault :-). Still, we had our suitcases taken to the room by a very helpful concierge. This was much appreciated as there were a few stairs and doors to navigate. During the rest of the days of our stay the young staff in the reception were very pleasant. It would have been nice to have the facilities to make coffee or tea in the room. Aslo, breakfast itself was OK but nothing extraordinary. Unrelated to the hotel my partner and I would strongly advise to avoid buying any food from the street vendors in the central square. It is unbelievably expensive for street food. These aside our stay was very pleasant and the city is wonderful.
Location is superb for visiting all main attractions and areas in the city. We could not hope for anything better. The window views toward the astronomical clock were great and made our stay feel very special. Our room was spacious and clean. The double windows reduced substantially the noise from the central square. The breakfast area was beautifully decorated in the barok style of the hotel and the city. The option to leave our luggage in the hotel after we checked out was much appreciated.

United KingdomThe room had a lovely big bed but it only came with two single duvets, would have been nice to have a king size duvet. In the bathroom the shower was wall mounted in the middle of the bath as opposed to down at the end with the shower screen, you had to take care not to flood the floor.
The location was perfect, our bedroom looked straight out onto the Old Town Square and its famous clock tower. We liked the historic features of the room, lovely to hear the clock chime on the hour and look down on the crowds watching. Made a nice change from modern nondescript chain hotels.

United KingdomNo kettle facilities in the room, though there was coffee shops very nearby. Breakfast was a bit limited and plates were whipped away barely before you’d finished eating which was a bit disconcerting.
Location was awesome, rooms were clean and authentic, bed was super comfortable.

United StatesParking was complicated...finding street parking on a specific street and then calling the hotel to come meet you there. Also the garage is not 24 hrs, so you do not always have access to your car.

PhilippinesThere is no elevator going to our room, and no staff member to help us with our luggages.
The location is perfect. Our room is in front of the astronomical clock. Even if it was at the city center, it wasn’t noisy in our room. Breakfast is also good.

United KingdomSorry to say our room overlooked the street and the clientelle and staff of businesses there were not considerate at all. When we return to the Grand Hotel Praha we will insist on a front facing room.
Very good, polite staff. Breakfast and dining in the hotel is excellent. Would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Praha to my friends.

United KingdomYou can have the best view in the world, but I was unhappy with some bits of the room. I have stayed in cheaper rooms and been happier. So, to begin with, the room was unbearably hot. We could have asked the receptionist, I guess, but we just opened a window. There is no full-length mirror. You do not have plug sockets on either side of the bed.
The room is massive. It had the best view our of the window of the clock. You can not get a better location. The room was clean. We enjoyed having breakfast every day at the hotel.

United KingdomWe were booked into the a room on the 2nd floor in the old part of the hotel, which did not have a lift, only stairs. My wife is experiencing difficulties with her breathing at the moment. Our booking reservation stated accessibility to rooms with a lift. It is, but not in the old part of the hotel. The receptionist again proved unresponsive later in the afternoon. Thankfully, next day management changed our room, to the new part of the hotel with a lift. The rest of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
Fantastic location, in the Old Town Square, opposite the famous Astronomical Clock. Large bedrooms, good breakfast. On arrival we encountered a dour receptionist, who seemed to be having problems with her reservations program on her computer. Totally ignored my wife and I for 15-20 minutes.

United KingdomEven with the double windows noise can still be heard, especially late at night. However not sure what else can be done about this as the building I’m guessing is protected from modernising with double glazing or equivalent. The rooms were big and felt a sofa could have been better placed than two small chairs. Would have made it more comfortable when relaxing in between activities.
You can’t beat the location. Spot on! Rooms were big and view spectacular. Free breakfast was amazing and huge choice from hot to cold. Younger porter was friendly and helpful. Hotel also did us a takeaway breakfast as our flight was early. Hit the spot!

SingaporePillows too soft for the neck. Very difficult to sleep. The bed may require steaming. I was itching as I layed down to sleep. Dining table had crumbs on the table cloth. Cloth needs washing. I noticed that the hotel has a work station at level 2. For business travellers to use perhaps? A very good gesture I must say. However, the front desk reception turned down my request to have a postcard posted out. She said that the hotel “does not offer such a service”. A simple task that such a great establishment should be able to perform.
Location was the best!

United KingdomThe breakfast buffet is very average for a 4 star hotel. Even though we had breakfast in our rate, of the three mornings, we only ate there once and bought breakfast elsewhere the other mornings.
Location is perfect, historical building was great, Apostolic Apartment was huge and very comfy. To get a view of the clock you do however need to open the windows and stick your head out to the right - not visible by just standing at the window. The hotel reception and breakfast was in a completely separate building 20 meters down the outside passage, the apartment was in a separate building with its own entrance. Not a huge issue, only in the morning if you want a coffee and have to trek to the breakfast cafe - Starbucks is directly below your room, right next to the apartment entrance and did served better coffee but was at our expense.

AustraliaIf you need to conduct any business , it was a struggle to find a simple work desk with power for computer. This is essential for most business people. The bed was comfortable, but the wood frame around the bed made it difficult to get out of the bed.
The room was very spacious. Staff were very good, and generally the facilities were excellent. When we first walked into the room we were taken back by the size and the way the room was appointed. Breakfast was quite good, and the staff were very good, and eager to assist.
