Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Nothing significant that could affect the impression of the stay.
Great location, right next to the park and sights. Very responsive and polite staff. A separate entrance to the residence, which is very convenient for walking around the city. Comfortable bed and pillows. Dog friendly.

Not much. The dustbin in the toilet could do with a lid.
The location is good as it's close to the main square yet not too crowded or touristy at the same time. Relatively good value for the location. Friendly and helpful owners. Rooms are adequately sized and reasonably comfortable. Parking is a big bonus for guests with cars. Not many have parking in the old town centre. Breakfast was good

It was perfectly fine. Breakfast maybe a little basic, but agreeable, and the coffee machine produced very good coffee. At this price point one doesn't expect total luxury.
The location was superb - not in the very center of the oldest part of town but within the boundaries of the old part. A very easy walk to the bridge across the Vltava by the park and looking up at the church, then across the center of old town to the next bridge over to the side that has the castle on it. Room was a little basic but for the price it was perfect. Access was from the courtyard with a special key so you didn't have to traipse through the cafe/breakfast room every time.

We struggled to get anyone to accept the keys from us when we were checking out. So in the end had to post them through their postbox. All be it we did leave at 0715.
Rooms were good, bedding was clean, breakfast was very good, always plenty of hot water for a shower. Secure Parking. Location was good, close to the centre of the Old Town, plenty of Restaurants close by.

Pillows were a little soft for me, but that is typical of most european style pillows.
Amazing location, lovely and comfortable room. Fantastic value for money!

The staff is only around upon your check in and you may find it difficult to get "people" for subsequent enquiries, if any.
location not right in the centre but it is reasonable walk distance as you can explore the area, the room come with all the basic necessities, breakfast is optional at 5 Euro per pax, decent breakfast

Beds were quite hard so might be uncomfortable if staying more than a day or two.
Very clean room in a central, safe location. We added breakfast for eur5 each which was nice and good value.

We travelled by bus to Cesky and the walk to the accommodation is hard up hill, then across several streets of cobblestone. GPS is not good in the village. No sheer curtains on windows so only light sleeping
Simple abode with a location is perfect and good breakfast.

There was not much explanation at check in and I did not care for the bed style.
Pension Rosa has a great location. The breakfast was wonderful, we had to pay for it so I wish I would of eaten more, but the food was good and the room comfortable. There was parking which was a plus.

Unfortunately no shower gel / shampoo and also no hair dryer. Can be noisy if other guests walk the stairs or corridors.

The TV in the 3-bed room was wrongly placed we could hardly watch. The smell of the cleaning liquid was a bit too strong. (They probably cleaned the room just before we arrived...)
The WIFI was good, the bed was extremely comfortable :) Parking is also very good directly at the Pension. The location is excellent, just a walking distance from the downtown.

We got an attic room, which was okay for me, but my tall boyfriend has hit his head a couple of times, the ceiling was quite low.
The location was perfect, especially for the money, staff were friendly, I also got an electric kettle with cups and spoons on my request.

Some noise out the window from only a few people on a Saturday night but echoed off the walls. Not bad.
Nice location next door to photography museum and near garden walk. Also big river park 1-2 blocks away. And quick food on the street. Had to coordinate arrival time ahead of time.
