Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Missing air dryer
Typical czech penzion. Very well placed on the bike road. Easy to park at the property. Simple, very clean. Locked area for bikes --> super cool

Location is a little bit too far from the city centre and the train station
The standard of the room. It‘s also nice that on ground floor is cafe / bar where you can drink tasteful Czech bier! Very good contact with owners / personel.

Not easy to drive out of parking lot located behind the building during the day, as many people sits outside but put bikes into the driveway.
If you have any questions or slightly non-standard requests (e.g., we needed breakfast a bit earlier than the usual time), there is no problem with the staff to find a solution. Also super close to the hockey stadium.

From train to property was a 20 minute walk. Not bad but no Bolt in town. Still, I passed a castle on the way!
Nice room on top floor. Loved that the bar was open for a couple of beers before bedtime. Staff was great. Breakfast good. Bed comfortable. Seemed to be all new.

I have arrived late (22:40) and communication about how to get in was quick and easy. The same with an invoice (sent to me by e-mail). The place has nice spirit.

The Penzion was right on the trail. The staff was friendly. Found a restaurant very close by. It was fun to see the 11th century castle next to Penzion that some day may back to former state of beauty. Great breakfast.

It is not what I didn´t like it is more what I wasn´t perepared for and forgot to pack. I recomend gest to pack shower gel and shampoon. But grocery shop is neer by if you forgot something.

Nothing really to complain, it's a fine place to spend a night or two.
Very clean and spacious room, suitable for the whole family for a short stay. Private parking was available. The staff was friendly, but we didn't try the hotel restaurant as we decided to take a walk around the city. The highway is a short drive away, so this is a great place for a transit stay.

There was no gluten free pastry, even if was asked in advance in order. Moreover, grocery when it could be bought is 10 mins by walk.
In general ok, almost what we expected, good location.

Rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor, no elevator. They're working on getting more wifi reach upstairs. Suggested adding a night stand with a lamp next to the beds. Otherwise very comfy accommodation!
Very clean, generous breakfast, hospitable staff, small restaurant on site (didn't use, busy on weekend nights - next to the hockey stadium and a park), private parking.

it is a cozy small hotel located in the historic center of Breclav. There is a nice old castle just next to the hotel. The young lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay, although it was very short

It was odd that there was no one around at breakfast at first. The lady who turned up later was helpful but communication was difficult because she appeared to speak only Czech. (We needed to take a taxi from the station, which we knew we’d have to.)
The waitresses were helpful. The room was basic, but clean and had what was needed. Good value for money. Some pleasant woodland walks nearby, and a ‘castle’.

The air conditioning broke down and couldn’t be fixed which was bad on a very hot day, the Pension is beside the brewery and they had a band playing until 10pm. Was overpriced for the location.
The room was excellent, clean and quite large. Very close to cycle path.

The breakfast was truly awful. The food was out covered in flies and the coffee terrible. We tried to only eat food in packets. There was a proper coffee machine in the room from which we could have been offered freshly ground coffee. Instead we had a Nespresso machine with really stale coffee beans and the clean light showing!
The location was lovely and the room spotless.
