Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandAir conditioning worked, but i could be more efficient. It was silence which was positive.
Breakfast was very good. Cappuccino from the coffee machine was tasty and the setting was generally good enough. Atmosphere was guiet, nice music and very beautiful decoration increased satisfaction. Location was excellent near Bridge Karlov. Room was more than we expected. Large and very high bedroom was beautiful and again, decoration was nice. Bathroom was big enough, water pressure was normal and a little detail, there was Rituals products. The street below was full of people all the time, but the noise was not heard in the room.

United KingdomThe only thing to note is that there is a club downstairs, so it can get noisy in the evening, but there's nothing the hotel can do about that. We had our 6 year old with us and she slept just fine, so it's not too bad.
The location of this hotel is amazing. We love this area. The room was absolutely stunning, huge, and spotlessly clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enough. The breakfast is lovely. Lots of choice and everything is very fresh.

United KingdomNothing springs to mind too be honest. It more than satisfied what we were expecting.
Our travelling party was four guys - celebrating a 50th birthday by going to Prague to watch Dukla Prague and also the Prague Derby - it's been at least ten years since I visited the city - it's still very good value for money and excellent quality and range of places to eat and drink - so many to choose from and not necessarily on the beaten track - just go a couple of streets away from the main thoroughfares and you will have a very authentic experience. When doing all of the touristy things, you want a hotel to be well located, more than comfortable, clean and with a decent breakfast that will set you up for your day ahead - The Charles is all of these things - and when you add in the friendliness of the team that work there, all in all you have a wonderful package. We booked the hotel as it looked like great value for money, brilliant location and authentic (not just a Hilton that could literally be in any city in any part of the world) - the best compliment that I can give the hotel is that I'd happily take my wife to the hotel if we were to do a break to Prague - more than acceptable for a partner, friends, mates trip. Would thoroughly recommend.

NetherlandsFour-star hotel The Charles is located approximately 100 meters from the Charles Bridge and public transport. Numerous sights are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the bed was wonderful. The excellent breakfast is served in a cozy breakfast room with beautiful wall paintings. A welcome addition is that the staff does everything they can to make the hotel as cozy as possible. For example, nice decorations were provided during the Easter season. My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel and would love to come back again.

AustraliaThere was nothing not to like - we LOVED it. Okay, we didn't like leaving :)
Location was magnificent - a few minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and right in the middle of lots of cafes, restaurants and shops for tourists. The staff were so accommodating and breakfast while simple, was more than adequate. We loved our rooms and we all had a lovely view.

BulgariaWe would like to taste more local food and typical Check delicacies at breakfast. More jams and salads could diversify the menu.
The Charles is a stylish hotel situated in a quite side street close to Charles Bridge. The location is perfect and one can easily reach famous attractions like Stare Mesto, Vaclavske namesti as well as the Prague Castle. Smetana's statue and museum and the Rudolfinum Hall are at an arm's length distance. This time during our visit we discovered also the charm of the Dancing House which is not far away. The hotel is quiet and the staff is helpful and hospitable. We liked the breakfast especially the quality vegetables and fruits. The room was spacious enough and very clean. We strongly recommend the Charles Hotel to everyone coming to Prague and eager to feel comfortable and happy in this unforgettable city.
