Rather than a double bed we got two beds shoved together with a gap in the middle, quite annoying. Also there were no toiletries, not even a piece of soap or shower gel. That's quite unique, and not in a good way

Older hotel well upkept. Very attentive and friendly receptionist, later being waiter in the restaurant. Room well furnished above standard for what you get for price paid. Beeakfast standard selection but on the plus side extra cooked breakfast dishes were offered. Hotel ilion the main square just by the castle which was my destination. Dinner in restaurant great choice of among other local Bohemian dishes. Service was instant snd cordial.

We were in a very small room (212) The view from the room was wonderful, but it was very small for two people. For breakfast they had a nice buffet available, plus some hot items available. For our taste the coffee was not good.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. It is right in the historic main square of Telč. The hotel restaurant was good for dinner and the staff was fantastic.

If we could give this hotel a zero star we would!Our experience at this hotel was far from pleasant, mainly due to the poor attitude of the staff. From the moment I arrived, the receptionist was rude acting like we were an inconvenience he was just short, uninterested responses and an overall unprofessional demeanor. Reading the poor review the hotel had there was no surprise this hotel had some rooms still available since the whole town was fully booked during the popular festival! The rest of the staff weren’t much better, It took them forever to clean our room and it was the dirtiest place we stayed at. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed in weeks. Basic requests were not met and with eye-rolls or ignored entirely, and there was a noticeable lack of hospitality or friendliness. Hospitality is about people, and sadly, this hotel completely missed the mark. I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it unless the management seriously addresses the customer service!

The owner or the receptionist probably missed the basic lessons at school of how to treat customers... Therefore never ever U Černého orla. Instead go to Kafka's The Castle in Třešť. Just 10 mins drive.👍
