Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The only positive thing this hotel has that it is close to astronomical clock and main city square!

United KingdomBreakfast was a bit basic, although the room/breakfast rate reflected that. Other than that, no real issues, and it was a nice convenient stay.
Good location very close to Old Town Square. I've been to Prague quite a lot over the years but wanted my new colleague to be close to 'the sights', and this worked well for that. It's in an old building, and I was in an annexe a few metres away. Nice characterful room, although bare boards and joists made for a bit of noise transmission from room above. Being an old building and hemmed in, there was little if any natural light, and the stairs to my room (2) were a bit tricky when carrying bags. Lighting in the room was pretty poor, but there's a nice friendly bar almost next door, with decent light for reading!

UkraineThe booking stated a room of 30 m², but in the end I think we got a room of 20 m². The cost of the minibar is not a problem. But instant coffee and tea in the room for 1 euro is somehow strange.
Good location

United KingdomMy room (2 on the second floor of the annexe) was without a window to outside, and the lighting was quite poor - just about ok to read by the bedside light, but really not good. There was some noise from above one evening - sounded like moving furniture, and of course on bare boards & joists - so I went out for a while. I struggled a bit with the tv at first, but this may have been my inexperience, as it worked the second evening. I expect there to be a charge for drinks from the minibar (I didn't use it), but this is the first time I've found a charge for the tea/coffee sachets (ditto). Continental breakfast was fine for me, but quite limited for my vegetarian colleague. It's a small hotel, though, and not everything is possible.
Very good location if visiting on foot - just round the corner from the astonomical clock. Quirky building with exposed joists & floorboards - my room was quite large and in an annexe with separate front door & stairs about 10-15m from main reception. Decent bathroom (shower over bath, separate loo) with good hot water and water pressure. Kettle in room - but see below....

United StatesThere are a lot of stairs so be mindful if you are coming with a lot of luggage, I'd ask for the first floor. We got the 3rd floor and it was a workout to get there. The room didnt look too clean, the carpet was dirty.
The location is the best of this place. Rooms come with breakfast which is pretty good too, a bunch of options.

IrelandThe receptionist on arrival was quite rude when we were checking in and checking out. Other reception staff were not overly friendly but not outright rude. Shower fluctuated from scalding hot to freezing cold so couldn’t have a proper wash for the duration of the stay.
Location was amazing, very affordable and loved the traditional old style decor and feel of the property.

United Kingdom3 other receptionists were rude and didn't even acknowledge the fact you existed, even when they had to buzz you in to the hotel. Breakfast was very basic, but fulfilled your needs until lunch. Don't expect to sleep much if you have people upstairs as the floorboards are horrendously squeaky. Make sure you buy your own coffee etc ... what you think are complimentary coffee and tea you have to actually pay for when checking out.. nescafe 3 in 1 satchet are £1 each ..went to mini Market and bought a box luckily for £1.50 on first day.
Cosy Hotel just around the corner from the main square, very helpful receptionist (dark-haired one)

SerbiaNo parking - public garage is so far away. Few parking places nearby, always full. Old building. Steps from upstairs heard all time. No door on bathroom. Short entrance to bathroom, bathtub under corner, in both cases mind your head! Quite poor heating and lighting. Breakfast outside, no warm connection. Breakfast simple, no omlet or eggs, no yellow and white cheese. Breakfast area not well organized, one family blocks access to food and drinks as all is in narrow end. Except location, seems overally overpriced.
Location is great, right next to some famous landmarks.

FranceThe room given was having a very bad odor, especially resulting from the cigarette smoke. Though the property is non-smoking, it was coming from the outside. The windows were not good enough to stop the smoke getting entered into the room. This was not at all OK and I could not sleep. Informed this to the front desk and he was helpless. There were limited options for the breakfast.
Location was excellent, close to popular attractions and at the center of the city. Very close to the Astronomical clock.

PolandThe breakfast was very poor, sausages, yogurts, bread, ham, tea, coffee and juice. No cheese, vegetables, fruits. Croissants were eaten by the first guests, then they ran out. It's definitely better to eat out.
Large rooms, very high, clean bathroom. Free cosmetics: shampoo, soap. Central location of the hotel, close to monuments and "must see". Nice staff, very helpful.
