Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hotel is situated close to the train station, it takes around 25 min (no train change required) to get to Munich centre. We’ve got a spacious room with fridge and tv. Grocery store is located in the same building.

JordanMy only problem was that I was not given instructions regarding self check-in ahead of time, and it was hard to get hold of staff through phone upon my arrival, so I waited outside for a while till all was sorted out. Once this problem was solved, all was great. All in all, it was a positive experience, and I'd do it again (but with inquiring about check-in ahead of time of course!).
The place was great, clean, good location, and very friendly staff.

United KingdomI felt that there could have been more staff presence at the hotel.
The television was the perfect size, the shower was great and it was very clean. The location is also very handy as it is close to the train station, a cafe, a pharmacy and there are a good selection of restaurants nearby.

PolandThere was a homeless man sleeping in one of the rooms we got keys to the first day. It is not a problem to get the master key that opens all the doors. Not safe to leave your things inside the room, because some random guy entered our room in the middle of the day. Definitelly wouldn’t recommend this place.

Austriaa correct tel number at the door with a person in the phone who is willing to help.
We arrived at almost midnight and there was a number at the door to call to make a late checkin. We called and they had no record of our reservation. the person on the phone said we are not on the list and thats it without too much drive to solve the situation. instead we had to find our what the problem could be. it took us 45min to find out that the number was wrong (another branch of the hotel) and then somebody called us to give us the code for the door. very annoying to wait 45min at midnight.

DenmarkWhen we booked the hotel they advertized with parking and breakfast included. When we arrived the hotel was closed and we had to call the number and get a code to a key box, everything was closed at the hotel, no drinks, no food and they didn´t have acces to parking anymore. It was total discrase. This hotel have we used many times before and it was a great hotel but no it is a discaster. They are using old photos in booking.com but nothing abslolutely nothing is worthy for a hotel. It has more become a sleep over place for foreign workers that only want a bed and make supper in the hotelroom for them self

United KingdomWe arrived when it was dark and as there is little mobile reception for GPS, it was virtually impossible to find the hotel. There was a map at the station, but in the pitch black it was not clear how to get to the Market square. I would recommend a sign in the station, and subsequent signs indicating where to go every 20m. It would be easier to find in the day but at night, with no phone reception, it is very difficult despite it's location near to the station. Most lights are now turned off at night in Germany. We had to ask a local to help us and even he didn't know where the hotel was!
This hotel is conveniently located next to the station but there is hardly ever any staff there, and you have to phone a number to get a code to get into the hotel most of the time. If you are doing this late at night after a long journey and have to try the number a few times before you get through, it is worrying and it is not what you expect when you are paying over £129.84 (149.21 Euros) for your 1 night stay. As someone else said this is not a hotel it is a room rental service. NO BREAKFAST included.

GermanyThis not a hotel any more. This is just rooms. Reception is not occupied except for a few hours and few days, probably mainly to take care of long term guests. This is causing lots of problems, e.g. if you lose your key. In my case even the check-in did not work without complications, and had to be repeated on the next day without prior notice ... I just stood in front of a locked door in the evening. Target group has shifted from tourists to field mechanics. Therefore rooms has been fitted with improvised cooking equipment and fridge. This causes bad smell in the corridor due to waste. Wifi was not working ... and nobody to call for help.
Sound protection windows to the 4 lane train line/station.
