Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The dinner options in the village are very, very limited. The hotel does offer a standard but nice enough menu, though. Also, the city of Kaiserslautern is nearby though with plenty of options. The waitress serving us dronks and food was a bit unfriendly and rude at times. Example: when we were asked in the afternoon to pre-order dinner for the evening, she demanded we stay seated in the exact same seats. She may mean well, but the way she expressed it, that came across as an order and not as a kind request. We can remember what we ordered, so we sat where we wanted... The Fröhlich family did their best, though and we do advise staying here. Decent value for money.
A great hotel to use as base or stop for bikers touring the Pfälzer Wald and surroundings. Standard but okay breakfast with option to order fried eggs or an omelet. Nice Biergarten behind the hotel to relax in the shade of the large chestnut trees. Plenty of parking. Quiet surroundings. We had fun here as a group of 9 bikers using this hotel as base for 4 days of riding.

According to the booking, the desk is only staffed until 20:00 for check-in, although we arrived then and didn't have any issues.
In a village above Kaiserslautern, quiet and peaceful. Friendly desk staff, very good breakfast with made-to-order eggs. Large room, with separate toilet and shower. The extra bed for our son was made up and ready for us, which is always great. Free parking in a large lot.

No climate control, so have to open windows. Beer garden below the window. If you don't have to work late into the evenings like me, the beer garden might be a positive for you. Over all, complaint so minor it only warrants mentioning as great feature to enjoy if you can!

The washer machine and dryer are too small, and they will charge each time you will use it, maybe you will need 3 services of each.
They have a good restaurant, the burgers are amazing.

A lot of road noise early morning in the morning.
Great family run guest house. Restaurant was fantastic. Clean room. Close to woods. We walked around quite a bit.

The breakfast did not start until 8am but I had to be at work early. I asked if I could at least get some coffee in the morning but they told me no. So I asked if I could at least some some nescafe to make myself some coffee in the morning but they didn't have any. I know it's my own fault for needing to leave early, but I was suprised they couldn't do anything to help me out. There is no kettle and no coffee in the rooms.
The restaurant onsite was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The room was small but super comfortable!

The small table takes up a bit of space.No elevator! The location is up a dark winding road uphill.
I like the space in the room. The sitting area was convenient. The rolling chair at the desk was nice. Overall, it is a nice space. The location is in the residential area of a snake road uphill.

Room was ok. Breakfast was ok. Was not air conditioned. Could have used a fan. Nice staff and everything was very clean.
Only a few miles from our house. Nice family owned place. The large beer garden was EXCEPTIONAL! Will go back just for the beer garden.

Everything was exactly as I would want.
So peaceful, and perfect. We slept so peacefully and we're able to leave refreshed and feeling rejuvenated. Close location to all US bases.

I was given a different room than the pictures on the website. Which is old looking. Walls are so thin. I could hear next room’s conversation whole night and morning even they are not talking loud. Bathroom has lots of mold. I was so disappointed.
