Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel was in a quiet area and an easy 10 minute stroll to the town centre. Staff were very helpful. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with beautiful views.

Just a couple of trifles - I'd have liked baskets with forks and knives for guests at breakfast, so you wouldn't have to ask the staff for new ones if you accidentally drop yours. It would be nice to have one bottle of body lotion per person as we had one small bottle for two people for 4 days.
Great, peaceful location, amazing views from the room and dining hall. Rooms and hotel super clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Great food selection at breakfast, comfortable and spacious rooms. Overall cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended. We'll happily return if there's an opportunity in the future.

Fantastic panoramic views. Very friendly staff. We received a room upgrade! The annexe with the studios had its own swimming pool and we could use both the main hotel pool and our "own" pool, which we always had to ourselves!

"-" Our room location was ok, but no view out to the fields, but out to the hotel front and parking area. From the room description of the various room types it was not clear to me which rooms had a view to the calm nature side and which did not, and what it would cost to upgrade to a room with a view. The indoor pool is rather small, however, ok for a short swim. Sauna area opened only after 14:30. Would have preferred at least 1 sauna or steam room to be turned on already in the morning from 08:30-09:00 to get warm after a swim or to enjoy the spa area while most guests are still out and it is not yet full like after 16:00. Explanation on guest card based reductions for local bus, cable car and event tickets was insufficient. We understood that we would benefit from the reductions with a room key card, but this, in fact, was not the case. We did not receive the actual guest cards or a clear offer of those. Hotel is 25 min walk from the Oberstdorf Skating Center/ Eislaufzentrum. There is no meaningful bus connection into the heart of the town. Most bus lines go to the Train Station, which is in entirely another direction than the skating rink. Plus the bus frequency for bus no. 7 for instance is too low with just 1 service per hour. We would have appreciated a bus/shuttle service offering for the guests of the Nebelhorn Trophy tournament between the hotel and the Eislaufzentrum + Nebelhorn cable car station.
"+" Well-preserved, clean hotel at a calm area of Obertsdorf. Nice surroundings, wonderful view. Parking available, in the underground garage at an extra cost. Good spa facilities, massage and cosmetics offering. Good breakfast and dinner. Nice value for money half-board offering. Most of the hotel is smoke-free. Umbrellas available for guests.

It was very awkward to walk through the kitchen / restaurant area to get to room. Would have preferred a different room to avoid that

Guests in the Anne-Marie guest house are treated as outsiders who are not really welcome in the main hotel building. The staff leaves impression that it's a hotel oriented primarily to domestic tourists. You can get by in English, but speaking German helps.
The hotel accomodated to a request for a late check-in and the receptionist walked us to the separate apartment building and gave useful directions.
