Internet a little intermittent but they do say public areas in which it works fine.

The location a short walk from the Castles, Restaurants and Lake, the Castle can be viewed from the driveway of these premises. The staff are excellent, room and cleanliness excellent, has a lift, good car park free, Restaurant next door. Also short drives to Fussen, Zugspitze numerous mountain areas, great place to ride bikes, also a Therme in town.

There was the occasional odor of cigarette smoke, but they have signs prominently displayed in rooms asking people to please smoke outside. So they are aware of it and are working on it.

Furnishings of hotel a little dated, but perfectly adequate. Very intermittent WiFi access.

Fabulous location, very close to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, which made visiting the castles very easy. but far enough away from main tourist carparks to be quiet. Very helpful and charming host (Frau Reiss). Also close to Fussen, a lovely old town with good restaurant options. Meals also provided at hotel.

The hotel we really liked. Ladies are very friendly ! There are great view from the window! Nature by day, stars by night. The castles can be reached on foot. To the ticket office on foot about 10 minutes. The hotel is quiet. Breakfasts are very tasty. There is a restaurant for dinner. If you want to pay by credit card in the restaurant, then charge a commission. Very weak wi-fi and need to constantly login. If you want to check the weather or to chat, this will be enough. If you want to load a map, it can cause problems. So get ready in advance. But it is not negative, just helpful information. Overall the hotel is simply wonderful.

While there is no bar, drinks can be purchased from a fridge. However, the house rule only allows drink to be consumed in your room despite having a beer garden at the side of the restaurant. Very strange rule, especially when we were the only people in the beer garden. Also, shampoo NOT supplied, we got ONE small bottle and bought our own in a local supermarket. We did not eat in the restaurant as we prefer to visit different restaurants every night and Fussen was ideal for this.

Location is excellent. Room was lovely, clean and fresh with towels changed daily. Balcony is a great amenity with lovely views. Staff courteous and professional. Ensure you visit Schwansee lake which is 1KM down the Parkstrasse from the Souvernir/Duty Free shop near the Ticket Centre. This is where the locals go for a swim and picnics. Visit the Brauhaus down the road from the hotel, well worth a visit or two. The old town area of Fussen is great for evening meals, plenty of options.

The location of the switch for the bathroom in the hall is a disaster! At night, you have first to turn on the light in the bathroom and, opening the door, wake up other sleeping people in the room! For young kids were not so much options at breakfast - only muesli and Nutela.

I think they should not overdo it with an excess of "folklore". Cows walking around in a fenced meadow with huge bells around their necks is a slight exaggeration ...

The free wi-fi was very iffy, requiring tedious, frequent reconnecting. There were no soaps, shampoo, or tissues in the room. Although the location is non-smoking now it was obviously not always because there was a residual smoke smell, particularly in the hallways.

A rural setting, complete with cows wearing cowbells! It was very clean and comfortable. It is located a 5-10 minute walk from the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau ticket center; close enough to all the stuff to be convenient, but far enough away to be secluded and quiet.

Fantastic location allowed us to park the car up without use for 3 nights. Easy to walk into the town for dinner (although make sure you are early as places close!) and to the castles, both of which you can see from the hotel. You can also walk to the local cable car for a go on the summer bob run and then some great trails through one of the local valleys. Atmosphere of the hotel fits beautifully with the area and the staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious with a good enough breakfast on offer.
