The restaurant should definitely have more than just two vegetarian options on their menu

Sort of peculiar old/traditional interior design but very functional. The room was excellent with comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Hotel's own designated parking area and coffee maker in the room definite pluses. Very good but jam packed restaurant. Fantastic breakfast! Very friendly staff!

The bed and pillows could have been a bit better.

Our room had a balcony and a great view of the mountains. The bathroom was well appointed. The breakfast had a great selection of delicious choices. Dinner also good. The traditional cosy feel of the hotel lived up to expectations.

1) Make sure WIFI connection on top floor is in function/available. With hi tech nowadays it is easily doable 2) Upgrade some room fittings/furnitures. Fix up all electrical bulbs that are not working (bulbs with no light) 3) Arrange/rotate mini/themed food festival at restaurants with invited chefs. 4) Create special Alpenrose drink (with and without alcohol) 5) Breakfastroom : As there is only one staff serving the Breakfastroom, consider to encourage guests to take choiced food items on a tray and return the tray after use to a specific space. Give a small token as gift (like a sweet or small biscuit or chocolate) of appreciation for the good act (returning the trays) 6) Guest cards shall be prepared in advance and be ready upon guests’ check in, to avoid queue forming/waiting in front of the Reception, being on the way of guests and staff walking in and out of this only passage way 7) A complimentary bottle of water with a small Welcome Note in the room

The hotel was right in the centre of town - the atmosphere around it was jolly. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast was great. A comfortable 3 night stay.8

As I get older I like the option of Air Con and while I may not use it. I like the option when needed.

The hotel is in the heart of town and has an authentic Bavarian feel. The breakfast is traditional and it was a good bargain. You can begin a variety of great walks from the front door and return to have a beer on a window into southern Germany.

Room a bit small and difficult to sit up in bed without hiding your head on the bed lights. From the toilet you could see the street and hoped they couldn’t see in.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location in the centre of the town. Very good breakfast and restaurant.

The only issue for us was not having a lift: although I wouldn’t want them to change the charming building to install one!

We chose this hotel for its central location. However we loved it for so many other reasons. Firstly the town of Mittenwald is picture perfect, and this hotel is definitely photo worthy. It pays attention to its Bavarian heritage: from the painted murals outside, to the photos and furnishings inside. The staff, in their traditional dress are friendly and efficient and made our stay such a delight. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast sustaining, especially if you are about to head out into the hills for a hike! And finally: the bed was large and Very comfy, and the bathroom was modern and the showers deliciously hot: altogether a quaint and comfortable room.

Breakfast was fantastic. There was a variety of different foods to choose from and the hotel staff remembered that I liked tea and had a teapot waiting for me the next morning. The hotel staff was excellent. They answered all of my questions, gave me advice on where to ski, and were happy to accommodate my requests. The only place for improvement is that the rooms don’t have a tea or coffee maker and after being out in the cold all day it would be nice to have the ability to make hot tea. However, the restaurant staff happily got me a kettle and tea cup so that I could make tea in my room. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Mittenwald!
