The honors system is largely at play here. It would be very simple for someone else to have grabbed my room key before I got there or even after I left. We Americans do not trust strangers like they do here in Germany. Luckily all was well but still a little sketchy.

Check in was easy. They had my name and Key up at the front. Parking was free which was also nice.

It's a 30 minute walk to the old town. Owners instructions came only in German which made it difficult to figure out how to access a self check in facility.

Next time, maybe should be better to provide clearer instruction regarding the parking spot, eventually directly from booking app. Instructions regarding the parking spot had been provided only at the location.

We stayed here for a night. We did a self check-in. Location was ok, and everything was good for a night stay. They offered a free self-breakfast in the morning.

Tired bathroom Towels were a little rough

A good comfortable place to rest your head. The rooms were basic but reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired and a couple of things needed attention: the 2 glasses could have been cleaner and the soap dispenser looked broken and old, but aside from that no issues. The free breakfast was great and most welcome - a simple concept.

For hot weather you should notice that there is no air conditioning. However for us it was not a problem with +25 weather...

Easy self service check in. Safe parking. Peaceful location with a short walking distance to city center. Spacious room. Couple of breweries nearby. Everything you need for a stay in beautiful Bamberg. Will definately come back if visiting Bamberg.

Unfortunately, the beds weren’t very comfortable, they had some kind of plastic covers under the sheet, which made a terrible noise when moving in bed, waking up each other at every turn. The pillows were too soft and didn’t provide any head support.

The rooms are of good size and clean. Great location and with private free car park with access through the back-very convenient. A pleasant breakfasts free of charge is available. A good and simple system of checking in, at any time of the day with no need for staff.

Towels in Germany can be like starched sandpaper because fabric softener is not used.

Free parking (but tight). Easy to drive (name of street leading to carpark would help). 20 min walk to Rathaus (nice to grab table on pedestrian bridge). OK breakfast. Fascinating old town. Outdoor 500+ rocking & dining in "new city square" with live band.

Very basic furniture, but that's actually fine for the price and the target of the hotel. Breakfast (included in the price) is not what can be expected for an all-you-can-eat buffet, but it serves its purpose well. Nothing too fancy, maybe not the place I'll spend a romantic weekend with my girlfriend in, but for a group of friends or a family trying to stay on budget, a very reasonable choice. All at all a pretty good experience, nothing really to be pissed about.

Nice position, close to a couple of breweries, not far from the old city (15min on foot), at the same time pretty quiet in the night. Very flexible and organized check-in (even though with no reception at all). A parking place is available (even though we did not use it, so I won't tell how good/spacious/close it might be). The room was pretty spacious. Very nice and friendly owner. (Very good starting point if you want to go to Bamberg to visit its beautiful breweries and lose yourself in the beers)
